I checked in to Intown Suites on November 17th, 2003. Sadly I'm still there. I had made a few mistakes in my life and thought this would be a good place to stay while awaiting college to start in the fall. Boy was I ever wrong.

Upon check in (after paying mandatory $100 deposit) I was told if anything was wrong with the room to tell the office. I found a crack in the toilet seat and told them the following day (they had closed for the day by the time I noticed the crack. They keep strange hours seemingly designed to make sure no matter what shift you work they won't be open when you need them to be to pay the rent and they can charge you an extra $45 late fee) Today is january 21st I believe, the crack is still there.

A few days after moving in I noticed Roaches, nasty bugs crawling on the walls of course I complained. They sent a guy in with a can of Raid. Big whoop, of course this didn't help the situation.

Around the same time I noticed the phone lines did not work correctly. I had to try for five minutes sometimes to be connected to any given number. People told me that when they try to call me they can't get through. I complained about this, nothing was done and still nothing has been done.

The lightbulbs are all energy savers which I replaced, The TV is fuzzy at best, The wires to the heater/AC unit seem to have been cut in a manner to insure the thing does not run too much as they pay the power bill.

The worst was the time I was walked in on while on the way to the shower, when I slammed the door shut (there are no locks which can not be opened by motel staff from the outside). I complained, nothing was done. I was walked in on again thankfully I was dressed this time. I called the complaint number (they dont give you this number you have to hunt it down by calling the reservations line) I got a recording that told me to leave a message, I did and I complained about everything, nothing got done.

After repeated calls to the complaint line which insured me theyd get back to me and then never did the staff began to get vindictive. I could no longer open my window blind as it was against company policy (as was opening my window, my door or being outside of my room I checked in to Intown Suites on November 17th, 2003. One day I left and the staff came in to once again close my blind thinking I had left for work for the day but I came back a few hours later. I re-opened my blind. A short time later the woman who runs the desk came pouning on my door telling me to shut the blinds or she would evict me. When I asked her if she keeps her blinds open in her home she replied "I OWN MY home". I asked her who I could speak with about this and she told me there was no one I could talk to what so ever.

I have since been to web sites that have hundreds of bad reviews of Intown Suites nation wide. I went to the Better Business Bureau and found SIX pages dedicated to the Intown Suites chain. Two complaints were logged against this very Intown Suites I am staying with. One is tagged "unresolved" the other is tagged "company did not respond". I have logged my complaint with the BBB but doubt I will get very far. This place is a scam and these people are slumlords.
