Where do I start, the recruiter that I spoke with told Me I can/will make over $1000 per week if I follow the rules. Slow down, follow fuel routes and more on the onboard computer. Also keep Your load turn down to a minimum. Ok,I have done and followed their directions but I am making no more than $300 per week. I must say the first month was good,My checks were all over $1000.that came to a stop real fast.

Let me also add that I am on lease purchase program which is not a bad thing if they would run You like they want You to be successful. They would give Me very short loads like 200,300 miles long/short and give You 2 days to deliver.

Even if the load is a drop and hook,I would have to sit for the next day or sometimes more days for a load. Also if I deliver near one their terminals and try and get another load to continue rolling,I was not allowed to do so. Another thing is having to go in line with company drivers as well as anybody they have in line waiting for a load.

Is not easy to get out of the lease because of the way You have to do it,but not that hard, just rite timing.

If anybody has or is going through this, please contact Me and lets find out what We can do as a group to stop this company from ruining any more families.

A Valuable Lesson...

AUTHOR: Anthony - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 05, 2009

J.B. Hunt is a company with a horrible reputation, and for at least the past five years...it has been on my hit list of companies to avoid at all costs.

The recruiting department will absolutely lie through their teeth to those who call them, and they will say anything whatsoever to get a driver to agree to sign on with them. Jobs of a local, dedicated, or regional nature promised often will not exist, thus forcing drivers to take OTR positions or quit during orientation, which will then more often than not, result in a negative being placed on their DAC report that will be viewed dimly by those who hire drivers.

If one should disregard my advice to avoid them altogether, they might well disregard my advice to avoid their truck leasing program as well, which is absolutely among the worst programs out there within the trucking industry. It is filled with highly unusual and outrageous fees and charges that do nothing but attempt to force people into indentured servitude, force them to work for far less than they would as a company driver, and drive one into bankruptcy court should they attempt to stick it out for any length of time.

Consider yourself warned.

J B Hunt Lease Purchase Ripoff

AUTHOR: Larry W - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 02, 2009

As a current J B Hunt LP driver, I can personally attest to the 100% truth and accuracy of Carlo s's report. I started out doing very well the first few weeks, but lately it has deteriorated into pure chaos. I am getting a load per week and often that load doesn't even cover the expenses. I have had 3 paychecks in the last 7 weeks, and they have been for less than 350 dollars. The only thing left for me to do at this point is to file for bankruptcy and try to find a job that actually pays you to run. I turn in my paperwork on time, have never refused a load, and always been on time. I am just so frustrated that no matter how I do my job, I am not supported as a business partner, but treated as a company driver that buys his own fuel. I had high hopes for this opportunity, but I am now looking at how I can recover from this debacle. When I was recruited, I was told J B Hunt had cheap diesel, ( they do) and PLENTY of freight. So much freight that they had to find outside carriers to haul it all. This was a blatant LIE. I hope that no one will make the same mistake I made and that I can recover in time to save my home.
