John Robert Powers RIP OFF Raleigh North Carolina

Hello All,
One Saturday afternoon my children and I were at the local mall, Triangle Town Mall, and one of the the kids playing in the new movie High School Musical 3 was there giving out autographs. While they were standing in line a gentleman approached my children and when I saw the guy jotting down info on a piece of paper, I walked over to see what was going on and the guy mentioned to me something about how my kids have what it takes and that they were going to be hosting an audition the following Saturday for them to be in a commercial and that someone from the agency wd be contacting me within a couple of days.

Well a woman from JRP's called me that Tuesday, her name I can't recall, but she had a British accent. She gave very minimal info other than to have the children dressed nicely and that they wd be given a script, and they will be asked to act out the script for a commercial.

Saturday comes and we're all excited, the kids along with my husband, their grandmother and myself go to JRP, well of course they're are about 80 children there. When they called your name you stood in a line to speak with a rep of JRP. When we got in the office to speak with the rep, who just so happened to be the woman with the British accent, the office was strange, their was no where for us to sit down and have a discussion, actually she was very cold and was saying how since I had two children she wd only pick one because training was very expensive. Then she had the audicity to ask me if I worked, (which I'm a stay at home wife/mom) and how wd we be paying for them to go to school. This was within the first minute of meeting this woman!!

Well they auditioned, and the next day we were told that they my daughter was selected along with 14 other children to come back for a second audition and at that moment we would have to cut a check for 5900.00!!!

This is the problem that I had with JRP, they have these kids lined up for miles, auditioning for everyday products that they are familiar with like, poptarts, cereal, pepsi, and gap jeans.... giving these children, our children, false hope!! If they thought my daughter had what it takes they should be making the investment in her and paying her, not her (or her parents) paying them!!
