Ok. As a former employee of Just Brakes, You would think that I have an axe to grind... I dont. I feel that in all fairness to potential vict...oops CUSTOMERS; I should describe the unethical business practices of this company.

Let's begin. When any customer comes into a Just Brakes center, the manager will greet them with a smile, kind words and a cup of coffee. This leads to checking the vehicle in, signing the $99.88 service order, and pulling the car into the shop. The manager has been instructed to keep you in the shop at all costs, until the vehicle has been dismantled.

Now, this is where it gets interesting; I will now bring you out to see your dismantled vehicle, and the shop manager (usually the senior of the two)will begin what we call "mutt and jeff" I will have pretended to be well...."slightly naive" while the shop manager shows you around the car and points out that literally everything that has to do with your brake system needs to be repaired or replaced.

It is now my job to cajole, convince, use nightmarish scenarios or just plain bully you into signing the ticket. This is the training regimen better known as "The Way". I am not supposed to be an a*s until your car is in pieces and you are helpless. If for some reason I am not able to sell you with my formidable tactics, your $99.88 brake job will be subjected to innumerable delays, and the car will be repaired badly ON PURPOSE.(The reason for this will be to have the car come back with problems
that can be blamed on incomplete work.)

Employees also are treated like subhumans. the "technicians" on average make about seven bucks an hour, and the managers have a base of about $450 a week for a six day week, unless they are good at blatantly lying to people with a smile on their face. I made considerably more than that, but I couldnt sleep at night. I quit so I could.
