Just Brakes Fraudulent, Ripoff Stone Mountain Georgia

I took my vehicle to Just Brakes and informed them that there was a grinding sound which sounded like the brakes. They said they would take a look at it and said the brake cylinder had a leak and we would also need new brakes.

498.00 and the same day after we left, the car was making the same sound. We took it to Pep Boys in Snellville which diagnosed a wheel bearing. We returned to Just Brakes and they said they did not care as they were about to close and we would have to return on Tuesday as Monday was a holiday.

We returned to have it "fixed" and $111.00 later they said it was ok. The same day after leaving the van made the same noise and my brakes failed. I returned again the next day to speak with the manager (who was downright rude, disrespectful and nasty)The Assistant Manager took the van for a run and stated that it was the Axel Bearing. He quoted me a price of 138.00 each to be fixed with $80.00 per bearing, a total of $436.00. I asked the Assistant Manager if when we initially reported the problem if they had test driven it. He said they did not. In fact he stated that he would fix it at a discounted rate and to bring it in the next day.
The next day my husband called the store to tell Mike that he was bringing in the vehicle but that he would call around to get a better price on the Axel Bearings, he told my husband that he did not know what he was talking about and did not want to get involved.

Mystified, I called Mike myself who then told me that he would have to bring in the car to be inspected first and then determine if that was actually the case. I do not know who regulates these losers, however, not only was my van never test driven, or even looked at to determine if the scope of the problem was outside their realm, they proceeded to "fix things that were not wrong, charge us for additional labor after they had to refix the brakes and then never took care of what was supposed to have been wrong originally. I would never, ever, ever step my foot in another Just Brakes Store, They are a rip off in a major degree. This "Mike" totally acted as if he had amnesia and needless to say the problem is still not fixed.

Additionally, while I waited in the store, I also met a lady who told me that she had just had her brakes fixed and that they failed also. OF course that is after she spent $590.00 Stay away from that place. They do not have any business savvy, respect or even common decency. They are criminals with a license to practice on your car. I was driving downhill on a rainy day when my brakes failed, and but by the grace of GOD there was no one in my way as I had to go through the stop sign. I will make sure I tell this story to anyone and everyone who will listen until they go out of business or get their act together
