This is a report on Just Energy, and a warning to anyone that they approach with the promise of saving money on home energy cost. My experience begins with my wife talking to one of their representatives at the door, asking to take a look at our energy bill. After which assured her of saving us money as compared to what DTE was charging.

I myself asked a few questions to confrim the claims I understood him to be making before I had to leave on business. and he confirmed that our rates with DTE were a variable and was unstable and or unreliable and that Just Energy would lock in a rate that was lower than what we were paying.

To my suprise this past Sat. another Just Energy rep. was at my door with the same spill, so having forgotten the forementioned encounter from 2011 I retrived my bill to discover that I was already signed with them, and was paying just about double the ammount of DTE's rate and about .24 cents more than the rate he was offering. After calling customer service I find that the representative didn't inform us that the rate was for just 3 mos. and every since then we have been paying more for our energy cost than DTE and was on a variable rate that is more hostile than that of DTE's. As a resu;t of this our buget has sklyrocketed to over $300.00 and an balance of over $1100.00 dollars, to which they informed me I cannot expect any refund. I feel as though I've been raped!
