This place is absolutly the worst. They scammed me, as I was young, nieve and they totally seen me coming. I can picture them laughing now, "how much can we get this one for?" First off, they LIED about the interest. Raymond (the owner i think/salesman)told me that there was no interest, that it was inlcuded in the purchase price, which we agreed was to be apprx. 8700 but turned into 14,000 by the time i made the last payment for a 1999 Honda. I sent my sister (shes older and more knowledgeable in that area then me) in to talk about how much I had been payng for like years, she got out of the new guy that my interest rate was 22%! I thought it was in the purchase price as Raymond assured me many times I had "Zero Interest". Yea...

My car was robbed soon after I got it, they stole my car info, title thingy, contract everything (i thought i was supposed to keep everything in the glove box incase I was pulled over or something..i know better now) I called in and asked for a copy of my contract and everything. They said they couldn't find it and I never got one and still they "can't find it" four years later.

Better yet: As i read in another RipOffReport about them, they told me as well to always bring the car to them for any work needing done. I know why they told me that now. Today I had found out that they have illegally sold me this car as it has no catalytic converter on it. They had cut it out and welded(?) a pipe in its place, which is now causing my car to run bad and sound horrible. I plan on contacting BBB and the EPA about their practices. I don't believe I can do anything about it though, as I cannot PROVE they did this, but I know I didn't do it, (the mechanic had to tell me all about it because I didn't know what one was). They did that!! The mechanic told me they do that to sell that thing for a lot of money. If your curious why I had just found that out today is I usually change the oil and do the basic maintenance things, and this was my first ever visit to a real mechanic. In Ohio, a car must have one and it is illegal to sell a car without one. I wonder what other laws they break daily? So now I'm stuck with a 14,000 car thats worth like 2000 with no catalytic converter; is illegal to drive and no contract info to read over or anything.... I was young and dumb when I bought it, but now I guess I can say, I will be the most painful customer when I have to buy another car from someone so this will never happen to me again.

Thanks for reading, hopefully now you will go somewhere else and not make the mistake I did by having anything to do with this so called 'business', I prefer to call them SCAM ARTISTS...

Reguards.

Hi Karin, I Too Purchased A Vehicle

AUTHOR: Are You Serious - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, December 03, 2013

 Hello Karin,

I too have purchased a vehicle from Kellie Auto Sales, I am well over 25 years old. I had a clear understanding of my purchase and it was explained to me clearly. I purchased a 2005 Cadillac CTS with well over 100k miles. I did not ask them if I could take it and have it checked out, I simply asked if I could take it on a test drive. The allowed me to do so. I was treated with the uttmost respect. I took the vehicle to a friend of mind that works for Goodyear and he was kind enough to check it out for me, NOT FOR FREE, but at a discount rate. I was satisfied with his evaluation and drove back to the dealership and made MY deal. I understood that I was purchasing a used vehicle and Kellie's did not spare any word by saying over and over again AS-IS, AS-IS. Its been several years now and I am almost home free with a clear title comming soon. I've kept up the repaires, and believe me, there were some repairs. But all in all I am satified.

With respect to you deal, you mentioned that you were very young at the time, but you did have a sister that you could have asked for asistance. A Closed Mouth Don't EAT. It is very easy to blame the dealership, because being mad at ourselves does not feel good. Taking ownership of bad decissions does not feel good. Just think, if the dealership took one look at you and said "You're Too Young To Buy", we can't serve you. You would be writing a different message.
