La Rosa Del Monte Damaged furniture and one week late with delivery. Rip-off! Bronx New York

I signed a contract for $1,630 to have my items delivered from NJ to FL. The salesperson in NY, Francisco Belmonte #110, who sold me the moving contract promised a delivery date of April 12, 2004. My family and I headed down to FL and arrived on April 11 only to be told the following day that our items would not arrive until April 20.

We were forced to stay in a hotel for two nights but due to the high cost we had to go out and purchase air mattresses and sleep on them for a week. The salesperson was never in the office when we called to speak to him about his falsified contract and the customer service agents never had any answers as to where my items were or if they would definately arrive by April 20th.

At one point dispatch could not even tell me if my things were on a truck, train or in their warehouse! Both offices in Orlando and NY were very disorganized and a poor excuse for a moving business. In addition to all this, a fairly new computer table I purchased was damaged because a bunch of things had been placed on top of it. I have yet to get a refund for the damaged item and its been one month. I will recommend these people to no one, and a complaint is presently being handled by the Better Business Bureau of NY. These people do not need to be in business.
