My vehicle which was registered to me and a co-signer (she was primary), passed through the Golden Gate Bridge in October. The toll authority sent notices for a $6 toll, to the primary registrant who lives in Texas, but to the secondary registrant's address in California. Needless to say mail to a name not living at the address sent to did not arrive.
6 months later I received a collection notice. When I called the SF toll authority, they were initially rude and hung up. When I called LES they would not talk to me because my name was not on the account. Well then don't send your notices to MY address on a car that I owned!!
The toll authority has an invalid fax # for LES. LES won't disclose a fax number. They require everything to be in writing however, their address is not even listed on their website.
I've spent hours trying to talk to the toll authority about the situation. We've faxed documentation about the situation which was then mailed back to us saying to call LES. It's a ridiculous circle of people who are not helpful, will not work with us, will not give out their information, and hang up on us.
I'm not paying a $76 bill on a $6 toll for notices that I've never received to a company that won't even talk to me. It's ridiculous and I may have the primary registrant file a lawsuit against LES as she'a multi millionaire in the oil business in Texas and was definitely not given adequate notice on this account.

So what, you admit your guilt. If you DID NOT pay the $6 fee AT THAT TIME, then they will continue to tack on fees. I found it funny that "You didnt recieve" any information UNTIL the fee is presented. Youre guilty of using a toll road and NOT PAYING. Consider the extra amount a small price to pay. Because NOW that its on there, you are going to have difficulties with ANYTHING DMV related. If you thought THEY were rude, try explaining this to CDMV.
Your deflecting resposibility. This is a COMMON American behaviour. You are guilty, you admit your guilt, but youre too self entitled so you think you are exempt from anything BEYOND that $6. Well youre not. YOU drove on a toll road and did not pay for it so this is the cost of not paying for it. You go right ahead and contact the primary person who is just so rich. Maybe they will take PITY on you where the web will not. This is YOUR FAULT and no matter HOW you try and spin it, it will not change the FACTS of this issue.

FACT 2: YOU more then likely DID recieve information but did not recognize the address or thought it did not pertain to you and threw it away.
FACT 3: YOU are attempting to deflect responsibility off of yourself and onto another party but FAIL to understand that the other party no matter what YOU think the percieved flaws are, DID NOT DRIVE ON A TOLL ROAD!!!! That was you.
Get over yourself princess......you screwed up and NOW have to pay for that mistake. Stop acting like a child. Just because you CLAIm you did not recieve the information, doesnt make it true. Millions and millions of pieces of mail reach thier destination on time. Kinda odd that they would have sent ATLEAST 3 notices to you before going to collections and you NEVER recieved even one of them but continue to recieve mail. Let me guess, thats the ONLY mail you have never recieved.......
Grow up, pay what you owe. Learn from it. To do anything else is to act like a self entitled SPOILED child.
