LexisNexis CLUE reports unfair unfair reporting Internet

Where did Lexis Nexis come from?  Why is is the consumer has no way of knowing beforehand about adverse info being placed on their consumer/credit report?  How is it businesses can simply run your name with this service and take whatever has been posted to them as the gospel truth?  I had no idea such a entity existed!  Forget everything you ever believed about the big 3 credit reporting bureas.

If you have never requested a copy of your "full report" I suggest you do.  Contained within it you will find every record of everything you have ever purchased on the INTERNET, where you had it shipped to, how much you paid--I even think it said HOW you paid for the product! Anybody who ever had a pece of mail associated to your same address, even if they lived there at some other time frame and you dont know them.  Doesnt matter EVERYTHING and ANYTHING imaginable about your, your addresses, who had the phone # before you did, etc--all of it will become a part of your record without you knowing or being able to protest it.  

Waaaayyyy more than just a credit report will soon arrive at your home in several different packets.  Of course they are very hard to read, but after you get over the shock of how much has been complied about you and is available to merchants even without your permission (inaccurate or not) how businesses, credit card, insurance, etc have the right to discriminate and charge any price for any service to the the general public.  You will then see that your life is not your own.  Whomever you believe is your higher worship deity forget about praying to them about LN.

Now for instance myself was getting elevated insurance rates and could not understand why.  One agent actually used LN in our conversation and gave me the CLUE number to refer to.   LN makes you fill out an excruciating amount of info about yourself in order to get your own information.  But I can guarantee it was nowhere near that hard for businesses to report inaccurate info to them about me.  No questionnaire was sent to verify any of the infomation--it was just entered in. 

Also within the packets there is a tiny form to dispute whatever is wrong/inaccurate.  There is also a statement that..."after investigating (blah,blah,blah) any inaccuracies will be AMENDED--NOT REMOVED within your file and forwarded to/available to any concerned parties...".  Which means any business entity can post whatever they like to this reporting agency, it will forever and ever be available for any other business to read.  The new company can still read all the false information and canarbitrarily choose to ignore the amended information and still chose to elevate your rates.  So in reality what you proved was false or inaccurate--was always be a part of your records.

Example: your ex-files an insurance claim never taking your name off the policy per divorce decree; he forges the checks, collects the money, and goes on his merry way.  You find out about the situation only when your insurance rates skyrocket.  Even after you get cleared of all association with the whole affair by insurance, your records will only be amended. All the attorneys tell you it will cost you a million dollars to be made whole, but no matter all the inaccurate reporting will forever be there. 

How unfair is that? A straight up no-win deal for people.  Talk about screwed up.
