Living Social You will never get a refund if you do not receive your product or service Internet
I ordered electronic products from this internet company in late March and was told at the time that I would receive the product within six weeks. After the time period passed, I contacted the company and informed them that the product had not arrived and that I would like to have my money back. The company apologized for the delay and assured me that the products were in the mail. They asked me to wait one more week for them.
I did as asked and the products did not arrive after one week. I again notified them about the fact that the products had not arrived and that I was no longer interested in receiving them. I received more assurances that the products were in the mail and that I should wait some more. Another week later, I began insisting that I receive a refund since they had not delivered on their published promises, and since it appeared as though I would not receive the products any time soon. I kept hearing the same old story-that the product is in the mail.
Finally, I complained to their local Better Business Bureau and they still refused to issue me a refund, several interventions later. The only difference is that whereas they were patronizing me initially by pretending to care about my problems, they are now more open in their contempt for a previously loyal customer.
The amount of the refund is less than thirty dollars, and this company, which jeopardized thousands of customers by having insecure computer systems which allowed credit card and other highly personal information to be hacked a few short weeks ago, has the temerity to insult its customers by not honoring their agreements and holding on to what is essentially stolen money. Instead of making up for their cheap and outdated computer systems and placing their customers in potentially bad situations, they are fighting with honest customers over their rightful refunds. After seeing what they are capable of, I think that it is important that they be exposed for their thievery and unfair business practices.
The moral of the story is: if you want to be treated fairly and as a valued customer, don't do business with Living Social because if your products never arrive, they won't care and they won't refund you either.
