Local Biz USA called to verify our address without having the owners permission they signed us up for webpage services. Internet

  Local Biz USA contacted our office with what we believed and they described as updating our address in their records. This is a practice we use to keep our records updated so there was nothing suspect about the call at the time, however after inspecting the phone records over the past four months we realized there was an extra charge of $34.95 (each month). This charge was for a webhosting service Local Biz USA was providing for us. This service was never discussed during the phone conversation because we are a franchise and are provided a webhosting service by Minute Man Press that is included in our contract as a franchise. If this had been discussed the representative on the line would have been told that we do not need webhosting.

  When we contacted our phone service, QWEST they informed us that Local Biz USA was a third party service and they were not sure what the charge was for and had to allow them to charge but were unaware of the service they provided. This seemed very suspicious that QWEST would have this third party interaction but have no idea what they were charging for. I am disappointed that QWEST would allow this service to exist and continue their relationship with Local Biz USA. I am also concerned about the company Local Biz USA continuing this practice and going unchecked.

Check you phone records and make the necessary calls to avoid getting ripped off.
