This past Christmas I received a Lord and Taylor giftcard for $150 and another for $50. I am not a usual Lord and Taylor shopper but since it was too difficult to sell the giftcard I figured I would use it. At first I went to the store and only found three items I liked and ended up spending only about 110 of my original 200. Eventually I turned to the online site to use the rest of my giftcard. I found a good amount of items I liked that were on sale as well and placed my order and spent the entirety of my gift card plus an extra 10 that I payed with on my debit card. After a few days I received an email saying that my purchases were out of stock and they included an online store credit number that could be used either online or in their store.

Although I was frustrated my items were out of stock I ended up ordering other items with my new credit. About a week later I received my Lord and taylor package in the mail, yet it was the items from my first purchase. A few days after that I received the items from my second purchase as well. I contemplated contacting them yet from my years of working in retail I knew that their was no need to contact them because they are 150% at fault for issuing me an un necessary credit and still sending me both purchases. I am not responsible for their mistakes and their almost $100 loss. A month after this incident I was checking my bank account and noticed a large amount of money that had been withdrew from my account the day prior without my authorization. Frantic I thought someone had gained access to my bank account but then I noticed I was being charge for the exact amount Lord and Taylor issued me in credit. WHAT THE F*CK! HOW DARE THEY!

I'm not one for altercations but for two weeks I fought with their customer service team over this and they kept leading me in circles and  at first I was told I would be refunded yet I was never refunded. I called yet again and they told me my "case" was to be looked over by one of my case workers. Case worker? For f*cking what. You sent me an email with faulty information, issued me a credit when I shouldn't have been issued one, sent me both packages when your system should of noticed what the f*ck was up, and then took money out of my account without even alerting me. I couldnt even figure out how they gained access to my account until I remembered that for my first transaction I charged 10 to my card.

Finally I was contacted by this sad excuse of a case worker, I think her name was Donna, and she told me I couldnt be refunded any of my money even after I explained over and over that it was their fault entirely. I asked her how her system did not notice it was sending me a credit when in fact my items were in stock and she said that there would be no way to cancel the credit once its been issued. Again HOW IS THIS MY FAULT. She then precceeded to tell me if I wanted my money back I would have to return my items from the second purchase.

Ok, because a month later these items are still folded neatly in their little plastic bags in the original box they came in. DO you really honestly think that a month later these clothes are in the condition to be returned? If I did return them they would still be losing out on money either way because you cant re-sell used clothes once they have been washed. I contacted them the next day and asked to speak witha  supervisor yet instead I was contacted by Donna yet again saying that she heard I wanted to speak with someone higher up than her and the best she could do was issue back 20% of the money they charged me. Although that does not solve jack sh*t for me, I took it because after almost three weeks of fighting, that was the best option they had given me.

This company is a scam. They are liars and un professional yet have this entire network of customer service staff, dish out all this money to pay them yet their customer service is entirely un helpful. I do not agree that the customer is always right but I am by no means wrong in their mishap.
