I am writting a complaint about the company lowes reguarding an issue thats happened in more than one store that i am aware of.The issue being that in recent stores there has been alot of consolidation of departments , and with that being said I feel there is unfair changes in departments, and job positions to people who have been working thier hardest at thier job titles.I understand there is a fine line between working hard and trying to make change happen for the better and there is another line of change in favoritsm.I feel in the situation of employees trying thier hardest to prove that thier job title is the job for them and having managers differ from that opinion is the problem with lowes.You have the people who bust thier butts everyday and you have the people who paint a pretty picture to have managers think they are worthy of a job thats truely not fit for them.I have been an RTM clerk for 2 and a half years and yeah i've had my days of needing improvement and i have my days of rocking my list to what it should be.well i fell a little bit behind my store managers exspectations and had failed an OFR audit for another time,but had been keeping a clean slate of not calling out and calling on things that may not have been directly mine,and having to do what other dept.managers or managers in general needed.I would do it with out an agruement even though knowing it was going to set me back a bit I did it,just being the nice person i was.Well my fellow employee was full-time til her position got bumped down to part-time.she then had no time to do her job while also cahiering to make up the time.so i then carried on more responsibility,while it held me back i got the slap on the wrist and was then demoted to cashiering,as was my fellow employee.Neitherless to summond up the situation behind my back for a month in a half my store manager was already trying to find someone to replace me ,which they did find someone.I am well aware of what my job title consisted of and the cashier they chose i felt was too immature to take on such responsibility,but while all the time i could of used extra help and bays i got nothing.the new girl got the help i had asked for and has had managers basically doing her job for her in pitty of her being the new girl.to me thats not fair not to help make room in bays for an overload of returns but as soon as someone new comes into the picture they drop everything to assist.i think corporate needs to re-think thier thoughts on how they go upon exspectations and goals for thier stores.i feel like they is alot of choosing favorites,being blind to giveing a pat on the back for those who have worked hard and proved it instead of just telling them when they have seen someone doing something bad.prove to your employees they mean something to your company,make them want to refer people to work for lowes not making them want to quit......just a thought.i know other rtm's have gone through the same situation so i am speaking for all the rtm clerks who were stabbed in the back and were told they werent good enough in thier own words.....hope thier is hope for the future of lowes.....
