Lynn, I do believe Sharon and many others are mislead. They believe that they are getting things that are misrepresented and in some cases, flat out lies. If you have a clear conscience, good for you. However, I do not believe that people should feel bad because they were scammed.

There is a lot of shame involved on top of the financial hardship and I do not believe it is justified. People are pressured and bullied into giving up their hard earned money for miniscule networking that is provided FREE on other sites. Additionally, their credit cards are charged 30 days later for a book they will never used.

It's scary that this is even legal--if it is even legal.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the service this company offers; however, they should be upfront with what it is they do. They are a networking group that participants pay to join. Had the letter of invitation stated that, then there would be no confusion once an individual's membership is accepted. Instead, the invite makes it seem as though the individual is being honored for an achievement - no membership fees are mentioned.

Let it be said, that anyone of these people that have worked at manchester who's who and empire who's who are scam artist! Only the ones that have filed a report on rip-off report stating unflattering things about Manchester and/or Empire are the ones to trust.

This so called ex-employees praising a company that has a owner/CEO that had payed someone to take his own Series 7 test and then get busted, pay a $50,000 fine and lose all rights to work in any stock market related industry ever again, is a real dummy!

Look it up if you do not believe me. Do a search on the internet on Matthew (((Rip-off REDACTED))). You'll see for yourself what a loser he really is! Why would anyone want to do business with him, you just got to be certifiably NUTS!

To ALL consumers, stay away from Manchester and Empire Who's Who. They are related, as the two owners are friends. And yes, Randy Narod, owner/CEO of Empire Who's Who did the same thing by paying someone to take his Series 7 and 63 test! Real brains those two guys have.

Let is also be said that "Richard Stone" is NOT who he says he is. His REAL name is Rick (((Rip-off REDACTED)))... They ALL use false names, ALL of them! I believe that is illegal in itself. Good luck to all of you and to the ex-employee, keep believing your words of garbage. See how far it will take you.

You mentioned you were contacted unsolicited, when you filled out the application that was sent to you, that was the invitation for them to contact you!

Did you take the time to research the company you were sending your information to or did you just fill it out and send it in? (their website was at the bottom of the card)

The sales people do their job. They sell memberships. A registry based on memberships. A good fairy does not come down and waive a magic wand and have book and website published for free. Anyone with some common sense would know that you don't get all of that without a cost.

May not be for you but works for many people, they have over 100,000 members that enjoy the networking.

Maybe you should have done your homework before sending in your information.

I believe everyone should be wiser. Look before you leap, then you won't be disappointed if you fall into a puddle and get wet if you did not wish to be wet. We all have choices in life, to say yes or to say no.
