Don't hire Marie.  She is unprofessional, does not stay in contact with you the horse owner, and her rig is constantly breaking down.

I hired Marie MacCormack to transport my rescue mare from the quarantine facility in Pennsylvania to Montana. She was 2 days late picking her up on 12/11/15 and was to drive straight to Montana. Instead she drove straight to Colorado to her place and turned my mare out on open land (no fences) in an area where feral horses are present. There was no free running water and the horses there were forced to eat snow. Temperatures were in the negative 20s with windchills as low as -41.

Marie is not truthful, did not provide me with the addresses of the "layovers", insisted on being paid in full once she had the mare on her trailer.  This payment was to made through Western Union, so there is no recourse to get my money back.  She made no attempt to deliver my mare although she said she would.

Marie did not provide me with a plan for delivery of my mare and was unreachable by phone. What I am most unhappy about is her lack of communication and concern for me, the customer. The only way she will communicate is through FB messenger.

30 days later, yes I said 30 days later, I was able to reach Marie by FB messenger, she drove my mare to a vet clinic near her in Alamosa, where I arranged for another shipper to pick her up for me.

Marie sounds like a nice person on the phone and is instantly returning your messages until she gets your money, then she disappears with your horse and if you are lucky, you might see your horse again, unless it disappears on the thousands of acres of open land in Colorado.
