The Marlo Furniture deliverymen did a poor job of ensuring all the items I had purchased were on the truck prior to delivering it to my home.

Believe it or not, they forgot all 8 bolts necessary to put the $1700 table I had purchased together.

They told me to call customer service and ask for a discount because it happens all the time.

I knew I was in trouble as soon as they told me that, and boy was I right.

They forgot to put all 4 chairs on the truck, so they only delivered us 3.

And after further examining the leg assembly, it was scraped in about 3 places. I was told by the deliverymen to go to warehouse to pick up the items they forgot.

So I drove 40 minutes to Marlos in Alexandria thinking I would be able to pick up the bolts, the chair and a new leg assembly.

Unfortunately, all Marlo's could do for me is put me on the phone with Customer Service.

They kept me on hold for over an hour before they told me there is nothing they can do.

They said they have to wait for the truck to return and it wouldn't be today. They said I could get the bolts if I returned the center and leg assembly but that's not before they told me to go to Home Depot for the bolts and they would reimburse me.

So I drove 40 minutes home and 40 minutes back to return the items.

9 hours later after the delivery I got the bolts. Can you belive they charged me $300 for delivery!!! All I got for my troubles was a lousy $100 gift certificate.

I tore it up as soon as I received it. I will never shop at Marlo Furniture again and I will discourage others to not make the same mistake.

I apologize that delivery did not meet with your expectations

AUTHOR: CHRIS - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 07, 2003

Dear Antonio,

I apologize that delivery did not meet with your
expectations. We try very hard to ensure that all merchandise is available at the time of delivery.

The comments on behalf of the drivers to you, will be addressed.

I also apologize that the representative with whom you spoke, did not clearly explain why it was that we needed for the truck to return before
we could assist you further.

Please provide me with the name or invoice number of your purchase in order that I may attempt to make you a satisfied customer.

Thanking you in advance of your response.
