Mega Movers Very unprofessional moving company Internet

My 84 yr old mother needed to move and did not have much money. I went on line and found Mega Movers. The initial conversation went very well. The day of the move started to be otherwise however. After being told the truck would be at my mother's place in Belleview, FL between 11am and 2pm. We did not receive a phone call confirming arrival from the driver. When I called they told me the truck had broken down, was in the shop and they would have to find another driver. After numerous phone calls (they never once called me)a truck was coming from 5 hours away. They finally arrived @ 11pm. The men were friendly and fast (they were finished by 2am!), but we were charged extra for underestimating the amount of boxes (all of which I bought and packed myself) and I was told it would be an insult not to tip them.

On the other end of the move it was a nightmare! The driver was under age and told me he had been stopped numerous times and ticketed. The other fellow was old enough, but his license had been suspended. They were 5 days late! They were nice and fast as well, but the furniture was damaged, boxes were missing, and the trash was left for us to deal with. We were charged an additional $700, which we paid with a money order, thankfully. After hearing the horror stories I can't imagine giving them a credit card!

I just believe this company is in way over their head! Perhaps for local moves they might be alright, but a move from Florida to Maine was a disaster!
