Michael Hughes was hired as a subcontractor for two jobs in Weymouth, MA and Dedham, MA. He collected required deposits for each one, and stated each job would take two days to complete. Michael certified he was licensed and insured, but failed to produce documents when asked. In addition, he was at the Weymouth site for three hours total and never showed at the Dedham site. 

He left electrical boxes open, wires exposed, and the job was a complete disaster. In addition, the painting he was supposed to complete was at a stand still. After this, Michael then went "missing" for two days, not reachable by phone, only to get back to our company stating he had a headache and migrane from a "pipe issue" that he suffered on a different job. After getting in contact with me, he stated he would be charging me for the extra time it would take to "paint" a client's deck, even though the job hadn't even been started and the only workers painting the deck were our own.

Michael even was given the correct color stain colors for the painting of the deck and purposely bought paint, instead of stain, because it was cheaper. The client, being a stickler (and kind of a b***h to be honest), noticed it immediately and caused delays in the job, and forced us to purchase the stain that Michael's agreeement stated he would purchase himself. 

He completely igroned the "time frames" that we both agreed upon and stated he would be back on the job "soon" even after he was fired from both sites. He states via text that he will "reimburse" our company "less any extra time his painter worked." Everyone knows when workers are hired, the price is the price. It's the subcontractor's fault if he or she didn't estimate the proper amount of time it will take to complete a job.

Both clients were visibly upset and the jobs needed to be finished by crews that were supposed to be working on separate job sites.
