I'm sorry I did not post this sooner, it has been several years since this happened.

My wife and I traded in a Honda Accord for a used Chevy Trailblazer at this dealership. The Trailblazer was GM Certified which means we had 3 days or 1,000 miles to return the car with "no questions asked."

Well, we did all the paperwork and drove off with the Trailblazer on a Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.

Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, after having put less than 100 miles on it, we drove back to Munday to return it because there was a squeak coming from the back which we didn't want to deal with figuring this small problem might become a big problem later.

They told us they would not take it back!! Said, "We're all adults here, and you signed a contract." When I pointed out that it was GM Certified, they would never address it, and actually threatened to sue me and my wife if we left the car on their lot! We told them we wanted the Accord back, and they said they didn't have it anymore; it wasn't even in their possession anymore.

They said the only way they would let us out of the contract was if we bought another used car from them, or a new one. Being young and naive, we accepted that load of crap and, fearing a lawsuit, we bought a new Trailblazer.

I contacted the corporate hq of Chevrolet, and the FTC. Got nowhere with either of them despite my passionate, i.e., angry argument (or possible because of it  LOL).

I don't remember any names at Munday at this point but suffice it to say I will never buy a car from them again, nor will anyone within my sphere of influence because they ALL know the story. For that, and many other reasons too long to disclose here, there will never be another GM product parked in my garage. In fact, we have since bought 2 Fords, an Expedition and an F150, and we have directly influenced two other ppl to buy Expeditions.  CAVEAT EMPTOR

People like you are people who feel unimportant and ignorant in their everyday life. So they lurk the internet in search of someone that they can make feel as little as they are. We all can cleary see it was typos. If you are really that desperate to feel important and intelligent then seek professional help not the internet.

3-Day/150-Mile Customer

Satisfaction GuaranteeWe're not satisfied until you're satisfied.

Buying a vehicle is a big decision and we want to make sure that you are completely satisfied    with your purchase of a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle from Chevy, Buick or GMC. So, if within the first three days or 150 miles (whichever comes first) of owning your vehicle you're not completely satisfied, bring it back to your dealer to exchange it for a vehicle that fits your needs.

It appears like the return is contigent on EXCHANGING the vehicle and the Dealer honored that.

I DON'T see any Ripoff.

It would appear the OP simply interpreted the certification terms to their own benefit.

Being young and naive, we accepted that load of crap ..."

It happens, but hopefully you're now not so young and naive.

Hope you're happy with your new Trailblazer (if you still have it).

Just for the record, I don't work for GM or ANY of their dealers.
