I also was one of those blindly led to sign up for a "trial offer" for diet patches. Let me add that it was one of only a few offers that I was "required" to sign up for in order to be placed in a drawing to possibly win a plasma TV-yeah right!

The bottom line here is it was to be a TRIAL OFFER! I called the 800# to make sure I wasn't on one of those "auto ship" programs. The agent on the line said I was charged $157 for the 90 day supply they shipped me!!

When I advised him that this is NOT what I signed up for, he said, "sometimes people just click on the wrong button." I tried to explain that was not the case and demanded to be refunded and I'd send the unused portion back as I had literally only used two patches.

He then placed me on hold to speak to his manager. When he got back on the line he proceeded to tell me what a deal his manager was going to give me. He said they'd credit my account 50% and "let me keep the supply" at no additional cost! I was livid!

I said I'd send the supply back, and expected a refund minus the original offer price of $5.95 for the trial. This conversation went back and forth.

It was only after I became more and more upset and said that I wanted my money back (as I would NEVER spend $157 on diet patches) that it ended with him telling me they'd refund my money if I sent the unused portion back.

I asked the complete address, and asked him the last name of his manager, to which he replied "I don't know my manager's last name."

Based on what I've seen from the other report I read, I'd be more likely to win the lottery than be refunded the $157 that is rightfully mine! I am disputing the charge with my credit card company.
