National General Insurance Deceptive Insuarnce Practices Internet

I contacted National General Insurance to state my policy should have been cancelled for non payment on 1/15/18 as I did not pay because the vehicle is not in use. I was told only the 3rd part issuer of the policy could do that so I went to the vendor whom refused. I went back to National General and was hung up on by a rep. My issue is had I got an into an accident on 1./16/18 they would have had no problem canceling. The company is trying to get extra me while refusing to cancel the policy on the appropriate date.
