In January 2005, I decided to try out netzero and see if it was better than MSN, since it was quite a bit cheaper. I was not happy with the service and I cancelled it. I reviewed my checking account and there is a charge for $24.95 to my account, for a service I cancelled about a year ago. I called the toll free number of (866)841-1442 and asked for an explaination to the charges. They guy claimed that I had signed up for mega meal when I opened the account, I had no clue what he was talking about. I explained to him I had cancelled it almost a year ago and he said yes but you did not cancel that. I explained to him that I have not used the service and why would I cancel one and keep the other, the other that I did not know I had and I do not use that e-mail account. I got nowhere. I asked the guy how could he charge my account when I did not give them the updated card information, he said did not matter because the old number was associated with the account number. I called my bank and they are filing a charge. The bank said even though we had new debit cards/numbers the old one was not canceled out. Hopefully, someone can stop them from taking advantage of anyone else.
