The other RipoffReport (dated in October, 2014) regarding this company could have been written by myself as well.  Exact same tactic - I was cold-called, promised that my ad would be placed in a Luxury Magazine in both print and digital, and would then be distributed to the golf courses in a town 90 miles from me.

The publication date was pushed back twice, the graphic design should have been a red flag because being in the photography and graphic design industry, I was not impressed.

I was also called a second time to invest in an "upgrade" to a full page ad that had "unexpectedly opened up."  I was not going to invest more and the conversation went on to last nearly 40 minutes of him trying to convince me and pressure me. He (same guy who initially contacted me) actually got very rude during this conversation when I wasn't conceding.

Publication was to finally be at the beginning of this December (2014).  In starting to feel uneasy about things, I dug deeper (than the research I had previously done when I was first contacted) online and found the initial RipOff Report (Oct. one), as well as contacted the individuals in charge of publications and advertising at the golf courses where these books were to be sent.  Neither the one and only private golf course nor the public golf courses had ever heard of this company.  And in speaking with the local Parks & Recreation, who are in charge of the public golf courses, it was indicated that if they were to put anything out for display, it would be for activities and places that involve other parks and recreation activities in the area and not other busineses.

I immediately filed a dispute with my credit card company who are currently handling things and this company has two business cycles to get in contact.  I don't believe that will happen and I feel confident that this is a company that is desperate and are using manipulation and deceite in order to get your money.  If you take just 10 minutes and look through their publications, you will see some ads appear more than once in one publication, or in some instances, one ad appears in two separate books (of cities in the same state).

My word of caution:  if you have invested in this company for advertising, go back and check with each and every golf course in your area and request to speak with the individuals in charge of advertising and publications and ensure that they have even heard of this company and that they did receive the booklets (which is the whole point of investing in advertising and marketing - to get in the hands of your target client).  In just the few people I have personally contacted who also had ads in these booklets (one in Montana and one in Colorado), neither were 100% certain that the golf courses had even heard of this company or received and distributed these books.

Do your research before ever investing one more penny in this company.  And do your research, even if you already have, because this company should not be in business if all they are doing is creating an online magazine that never gets in anyone hands, spending pennies to produce one copy to mail to you (which I never received), and making a pretty sweet profit on the backs of hard-working business men and women all over the country.
