If you are planning to move and decide for some UNBELIEVABLE reason (see many hundreds of complaints on the Internet) to hire New Planet Moving in Las Vegas to move your property, then I'd suggest that you give a known felon your credit card, allow him to charge thousands of dollars on it without fear of consequences, then take a sledge hammer and smash all of your furniture! Because if you hire these scum bags; i.e., New Planet moving, that IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING!

I am Jax Ajax, aka, the Grim Reaper. I am filing complaints against New Planet Moving for my long list of clients who have been severely RIPPED OFF by these cowardly criminals. Here's my most recent client's story:

New Planet Moving in Las Vegas moved her from Utah to Alabama. They quoted her a price of $3999 for 7300 pounds. She was told dozens of times (and in writing/emails) that the move was based on weight and that she would be paying just under 55 cents a pound. She told Leslie Fontaine that her furniture would not weigh 7300 pounds because she had provided the exact weights and dimensions of every item she listed on the inventory, but Fontaine INSISTED that she list the items at a higher weight than the actual weight, in case of errors, since she would be charged an "additive weight" charge of 75 cents a pound if she exceeded the quoted weight. Don't be fooled by these sweet little conniving liars; they get bonuses for ripping you off PLUS a CHOICE selection of whatever they want from your stuff, then claim it was lost (that's an insider tip from a previous employee).

My client agreed because she believed Fontaine + her contract + New Planet Moving's website that said she would only be charged for the actual weight of her furniture. The contract (I inspected it personally) says she would pay for "Actual Weight" only, which was 880 pounds less than the quote. She was due a refund of $484.00. Instead, New Planet Moving took her furniture from Utah to Vegas, then called and said the move would cost $4831.09 instead of the $3600 she was quoted for the actual weight of 6420 pounds and, if she DID NOT PAY, they would dump her furniture or return it with no refunds.

She followed the truck to the weigh station and has proof that her furniture only weighed 6420 pounds, but instead of a refund, she was blackmailed into paying $1200 more. They broke about one third of the items they moved, left eight items in the driveway in the rain because, New Planet Moving said, they would not fit into the truck, then lost four items during transport; that is, two oak cabinets, a custom made window, + a barstool never made it to the delivery location (about $900 in costs).

After a lengthy conversation with that idiot, uneducated blastard, arshole Moshe Alosh, we know that he has these items in his possession. We tricked him into revealing this by mentioning a couple items (two televisions) that were NOT lost, and he revealed that it was untrue because these were not the missing items that they are currently holding. Does this mean they intentionally STOLE these four items from my client for revenge or to sell them for additional profits? F**king b***tards should be jailed immediately!

My client tried to reason with them, but it was useless. In order to justify their mistake, New Planet Moving decided to arbitrarily mark some of her items (after the fact) as "bulky," so they could charge her more money; even though her contract says: "Your moving quote is based on the inventory provided. This estimate is based on weight. Additional items/weight will be an additional charge. (Please see additive weight charge.) Large Bulk items NOT in this quote could incur a bulky items fee."

There were no items marked on her original quote or contract as "Bulky." New Planet Moving OBVIOUSLY doesn't know what this statement means. "Items NOT in this quote" means that any items she may have added later that were bulky could incur additional fees. They have twisted this statement to mean that they have the privilege to overcharge customers for their services if they don't like the outcome of the situation. In addition, the dispatcher told the pickup driver on the phone AFTER THE TRUCK WS LOADED AND RUNNING OUT OF SPACE to go down the list and mark the letter "B" next to about half of the items. This little snot-nosed pencil d**e did just that. For example, with four identical items that were the same exact size and weight, he marked two as Bulky, but not the other two. The only large items she even moved were her sofas, beds, and dressers (everything else was small enough to hand carry) but he didn't mark those (until she challenged him and said, "how can you mark a 24-inch square end table as bulky, when the sofa is 97 inches long?" So, he made a nasty smirk and marked the sofa too. ALL done arbitrarily AFTER the fact!

In this case, some idiot (probably that cockle sucker Yossi Joe Cohen) in New Planet Moving's office screwed up and failed to allocate the proper amount of space required to move her furniture, even though (again) she provided the EXACT dimensions and weight of everything moved. HOW can they honestly justify doing this AFTER they had already loaded her furniture into the truck and realized their mistake? AND, yet, they still left eight items of furniture behind in the driveway, in the rain to be ruined. All of this was perpetrated by New Planet Moving to blackmail her into paying more money. THIS IS FRAUD + EXTORTION!

Also, they were a day and several hours late on pickup and over eight hours late on delivery. When the semi truck got there, the drivers tried to additionally blackmail my client by saying they could not get the truck up the driveway (over two miles long) and would have to rent a smaller truck and hand deliver the items to the house (called Long Carry), which cost (for more than 75 feet from the truck to the residence) an additional charge of $2.50 for each additional 100 lbs; that is 2.50 per 100 pounds for each 75 foot distance! This would have cost my client more than her furniture was worth. Fortunately, her father was there with the sheriff to ensure this additional blackmail was not executed. The extortion here was an absolute lie and ploy to blackmail her further because, as her father told them, many semi trucks had been up and down that driveway carrying everything from trailers, to prefab buildings.

The contract also said: Disassembly and Reassembly of furniture, Moving blankets, Plastic shrink wrap, and Tape Are included at NO additional charge, as well as placement of the items into your new home.  All crews will have packing supplies fully stocked if needed. Any packing materials not included in the estimate are available at an additional rate.  Unpacking of boxes is also not included.  If needed, unpacking will be provided at an additional rate.

They dumped the furniture in the middle of one big room in a pile that was seven feet high, DID NOT reassemble anything delivered, and many items were delivered WET, not from outside rain, but from sitting in the bottom of a wet truck. The mattresses were wet from the bottom about one third up and covered with dark rust stains. In addition, they charged $30 for these cheap 1 mil plastic mattress covers (for each mattress and box springs--another upcharge they failed to mention up front) that, they said, were required by law but, by the time they put the beds in the truck, these cheap plastic covers were filled with holes and torn up. And, they stole packing boxes from my client's stash of boxes in the living room, then tried to CHARGE HER for the boxes THEY STOLE FROM HER!

We are suing for criminal charges of fraud, blackmail, and extortion and civilly for the damages and overbilled fees. Please investigate this company as they have 100s of complaints on RipOff Reports, Yelp, UDOT, Attorney General's office in multiple states, Better Business Bureau, and dozens of other similar organizations, in addition to 100s of complaints on Internet forums.

Find me on Facebook: Jax Ajax (the Grim Reaper) and add me as a friend or contact me regarding joining a class action civil suit against New Planet Moving. Maybe together, we can get enough money from the combined lawsuit to buy their company and fire all those azzholes who work there.
