Our 2003 Nissan Altima paint on the front end plastic nose piece is peeling. We went to our local dealer and they scheduled the factory guy out. That day there were 3 cars with the same complaint (peeling plastic nose piece paint). The factory rep explained it away as rock chips which allowed water to peel paint. This is the first car in my 34 years of car ownership to do this and I'm sure other cars we owned had rcok chips. I think Nissan used the wrong type of paint for plastic.

Nissan is not good for defects and I strongly suggest you not buy their products as when something more important comes up they probably won't honor their warranty. We are very dissatisfied the the performance of Nissan and their lousy attitude and lousy customer service.
