Company called to offer an intrest free credit card, which naturally sounds great. I requested info so they needed some information, from then on it has been a nightmare!!

When asked for my checking information to verify my account, I never expected them to made up check number 9999 and withdraw 199.90, after I specifically said on the recording that I DO NOT AUTHORIZE ANY TRANSACTIONS.

I have spoken to numerous CSRs on numerous days and have been promised many things.

Spoke to a CSR on 12/15/02 who would not give me his name, but took my checking and routing info for a refund. The refund was promised by the end of the month
Spoke to William and Jake on 01/02/03 and both had me faxing statements and cancelled checks to Pat (Pat never returned any of my calls)
I Left numerous messages for Dale Anderson (was given his name as the Manager of the department by William and Jake)
Spoke to Donny who promised a refund of $199.90 to my checking account by Thursday, January 9, 2003. He also asked me to send a letter in request of the refund to my checking account. But would have the refund process started immediately
It is 01/09/03 and the refund has not yet arrived. Called back in and got Vinny who said that there is nothing that can be done untill the letter arrives. Requested to get donny back on the phone. Donny said letter still didnt arrive and I would have my refund by monday 1/13/03.

Can anyone provide any contact information of executive level employees for this company??

RIP OFF SCAM- NORTHSTAR FINANCIAL- THIS IS FOR REAL!

AUTHOR: Lherma (Lea) - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 14, 2003

I have faxed this letter to the Customer Service Dept. on 11/13/02, when I called back later on that week they told me that I was not supposed to fax this letter, I was supposed to send it by mail.

WHY DIDNT THE REPRESENTATIVE I SPOKE TO ON 11/13/02 TELL ME THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE. AFTER I WROTE THIS LETTER, I CALLED NORTHSTAR SEVERAL TIMES & SPOKE TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT REPRESENTATIVES IN CUSTOMER CARE & I ALSO SPOKE TO THE SUPERVISOR IN THE CANCELLATION DEPT. -PAT HERNANDEZ 2 WEEKS AFTER I FAXED THIS LETTER IN, HE TOLD ME THAT HE HAS SEEN THE LETTER & HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM AND THAT THE MONEY- 199.90 WILL BE REFUNDED BACK TO MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHIN 7-10 DAYS & AS YOU CAN SEE BY RECEIVING THIS LETTER BY MAIL- I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE MONEY YET. THIS PROCESS IS TAKING TOO LONG, IT HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS!! I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IT HAS TO TAKE THIS LONG!!! I AM NOT RICH!!!

This letter was faxed to Customer Care on 11/13/02-

-START OF LETTER-

I, L.D. would like to CANCEL my membership with NorthStar Financial as of 11/13/02. I would like my $199.90 dollars transferred back to my bank account. I talked to a guy named Vinnie in Customer Care on 11/13/02 and he told me as soon as the Customer Service Dept. receive this letter then they will transfer the money to me in 7-10 days. I will be expecting the money to be in my account in 7-10 days.

I think this company is unprofessional. A telemarketer by the name of Justin called me from NorthStar Financial- telling me that I was approved for a master/visa card for a limit of 2,000.00 and if I paid 199.90, then I would not have to pay no interest at all meaning it was 0% interest for a year, I asked him specifically- do I need to put my own money into this card to make it 2,000.00, he said no that this is an actual credit card and Im approved with a 2,000.00 limit, he was telling me all about the benefits & products that Im qualified for.

He told me that I will be receiving the card in the mail in about 3-4 weeks after I was done talking to him he then transferred me to customer care to get my account information and to finish the final steps.

Every time I called the customer care number- 18665173698 it was busy and when I got through It would ring AT LEAST 15-20 times UNTIL I GOT THROUGH and there was no music or anything telling me that I was holding, only a lady would say something every 3 minutes. And when I spoke to someone in customer care, why didnt they tell me that I would not be receiving a card.

That Northstar Financial does not issue credit cards and that this company is only an affiliate agent between me and the bank! I was angry when I only received a letter from Northstar financial 4 weeks after I have paid the 199.90 explaining that my membership is activated and I will be receiving a ton of free material and getting offers from a number of banks.

Then I found out that I had to put my own money in this card (this is ridiculous) from a lady that I talked to at Stored Value MasterCard Accounts- Customer Care. She was really nice.
Please CANCEL MY membership with NorthStar Financial, take my home phone number out of your calling list and I expect my money to be in my account within 7-10 days of this day- 11/13/02.
-end of letter-

Today is March 14th, 2003 & I have not recieved NOTHING. By the way, the letter I sent to Northstar Financial was returned back to me Spelled the word MOVED on it- no new address!!

I don't know why the employees of Northstar Financial are even responding & trying to back up this so called COMPANY WITH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! A BUNCH OF BULL!! If they think it's soooooo great & you feel it's good, then maybe they should do something about it- tell their manager, write a letter to the president or something??!! Because we have nooo way of contacting this company, but the employee does!!!
I mean think about it, if the employees were in our position, wouldn't they feel like how we're feeling right now?!! PISSED OFF!!

NOT ALL TRUE

AUTHOR: Customer Service - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 16, 2003

Dear Consumer:

I am an employee of Northstar Financial, who is going to let everyone know what is really going on w/ our company. I'll admit we do not have everything completely up-to-par, but we are by no means a fraud.

Most people's complaints w/ us are because of bad apple employees. We have a numerous amount of employees, yet the bad apples are who ruins it for the rest of us. So everyone knows who reads this it IS 4 to 6 wks for are standard shipping. Also, you DO HAVE to write us in a letter if you want a refund.

Our customer service line has been busy latley, but that was mainly because of the huge flow of call over the holiday season. We have recently opened up our phones to allow more calls to come through. Everyday we seriously get better, and better as a company. If people truely understand what they are getting from us then it can greatly benefit them. Just for the record: I am a student in college, and WILL not be doing this for the rest of my life, but the company isn't as bad as YOU consumers make it seem.

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!!!!!

THANX,
