Dear Consumers who may be looking for an easy way to sell your car truck or suv,

In this busy world most of us do not have the time or skills to compete with today's car dealerships when it comes to selling a car.  Being very busy my self as a Medical Student and Dad I posted an add on ebay for a car I was selling.  I was later contacted by One Stop Motors who offered to advertise and sell my car claiming they made all their money on financing.  I was having trouble selling my car and it sounded like an alright idea because the way the man on the phone explained the service to me made me assume there was no payment until the car sold and that's how he proved to me that he wasn't a scam.  I was promised that I would be contacted about once a week with updates, to this date I have not had a single phone call from my representative!!!!  Even if I call I get bounced around from one line to another and end up on hold for hours and end up hanging up.  I put in a dispute with my credit card company, they got my money back just a week ago they recharged it and sent me a bunch of very blurry and random articles that were supposed to be advertising my car,  well I know for sure that they do not have those adds up because the one I was most interested in is the one on autotrader.com I searched and did not find an add for my car on the site... I wont lie I didn't check every day but I did a few times a week.  This company is nothing but bad news and I would really look into it deeper if you were still considering using these dirt bags to advertise.   As a future health care provider I wonder what the world would be like if I ran my practice just how they run their business.   Just remember one stop motors karma and the good Lord will get you some day, may not be today or next week but its coming!!!

Avoid One Stop Motors, until... they change the business model?

AUTHOR: Now hear this... - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, November 17, 2011

Conceptually - a third party PROFESSIONAL Ad campaign can save time, tire kickers, scammers and money when trying to sell FSBO (for sale by owner) anything.  as a professional ad sales guy, I remember my first customer saying: There is an old saying, Scotty -  "half my ad dollars are wasted - the problem is, I just don't know which half?"  One Stop HAD a good idea in the business model - the but the lady playing sales manager and the unqualified sales types (people) that pitch for one stop have difficulty with truth.  This of course rests on the shoulders of the company owner - who seems to not care?  The brochure shows a building with ONE STOP MOTORS sign on the front - it doesn't exist.  The sign is super-imposed by a graphic.  That should give you an idea of the internal workings of this group.  I dialed for them for 3 days - fielded too many customer service "issues" from recent and near term customers concerned about service after the credit card is charged.  I am sorry to report that your dollars were spent in vain.  Now, in defense of ONE STOP MOTORS, I hear there are "SALES" being made from time to time... but even a blind squirrel gets a nut, every once in a while?   OK - so how to do a FSBO - properly?  Google the topic.  Use a third party business coach and pay for what you get?  Forms are available online and always sell the item "AS IS".  Use a Notary for signatures and get a copy of a thumb print if your "GUT" feeling is at all concerned. Keep a copy of it with the (US) drivers license COPY which you are smart enough to ASK for?  Good luck selling your trash - it's another mans treasure!
