Orlando Car Depot sold us a car that had many problems that they lied to us about. They failed to mention any problem wrong with the car, they lied and said everything on the car worked fine.
After purchasing the car, we were told that it was out of gas and we needed to go get gas. We stopped at the closest gas station and filled the tank. After turning the car on we noticed that the gas gauge was broken. The guy at the car lot (Nelson) told us that the gas gauge worked just fine and that the car was out of gas. LIE!
While we were at the gas station, we also found out the the reverse lights on the car were broken. We were also told that all of the lights on the car worked just fine.
On the drive home I noticed the oil gauge was a little off. Turns out the oil switch/sensor was fried. We were told that all of the gauges in the car worked just fine.
I decided to take my car to a local mechanic and have them run a diagnostic.
Here is a list of what they found wrong with the car. And just a reminder, Orlando Car Depot said that the car was inspected and checked by a mechanic and that there were no problems with the car at all.
The gas gauge/pump and everything associated with that is broken
The oil sensor/switch is fried
The reverse lights are broken
The starter needed to be fixed
There are oil leaks
There are wiring problems that need to be fixed/replaced
There was something wrong with the engine
Those are only a few of the problems wrong with the car.
Right now I am at about $1000 in repairs.
When I confronted Orlando Car Depot about this all they told me was it wasnt their fault because their mechanic, who works at the dealership, said everything was fine.
Obviously their mechanic doesnt know anything about cars.
No one at that dealer knows anything about cars.
I didnt get an apology or anything. I got an attitude from the salesman.
I feel very disrespected and used. I was lied to about pretty much everything dealing with the car.
And they dont even care.

hi! look my report up. Same situation. I would do what I did: file a report with bbb, attorney general, highway safety and motor vehicles, consumer services, state senate. You CAN sue them in small claims court too up to $5000. The company responded to mine not sure why they didnt to you. If you can get my email off here feel free to email me. Were you able to sell your car?

"Orlando Car Depot sold us a car that had many problems that they lied to us about."
That is to be expected. No used car dealer is going to tell you everything that's wrong with a car. If they did, they'd be out of business in no time.
The less-than-truthful used car salesman has become a cultural icon. How is it that people still walk onto a used car lot and expect the salesman to have their best interest at heart?
Bottom line. Remember that paper you signed that said the car was being sold "as is", with no warranty implied by the seller? That means exactly what it says. What it also means is that you are responsible for having the vehicle checked out to your satisfaction BEFORE you buy it. Posters on this site seem to have no problem taking the car to be inspected AFTER they've bought it. What's the point? By that time, you already own whatever problems the vehicle has.
