Misleading advertising, internet price different from cash price, finance department and sales department quoted different transaction fees, then added additional fees not mentioned after agreeing on price.  Over charge for registration and title fees, hide it by calling it filing and clerk fees, charged for NY inspection for a car being titled in NJ.

Internet price cannot be negotiated must finance car threw dealer, told could not pay off loan for 8 months so they can get there bank kick back. claimed to have serviced car, oil and filters, was not done! Called a least a dozen times, was told would refunded, never happened.

Was charged  full price for registration, finally got my NJ registration 4 weeks later, never renewed it expired 2 weeks later?! had to pay $85 again. all totaled over charged over $200  Sales manager promised all would be taken care of, nothing happened!  This dealer should be checked into for fraudulent registration and title fees, like many other dealerships have been!

Dear customer,

I saw your email yesterday acknowledging your conversation with Steve Skulnik, general manager.  From my conversation with Steve, the reimbursement check has been mailed.  Would you kindly send me an email upon receipt so know the outstanding items have been addressed?

Thank you so much for reaching out to me as quickly as you did the other day.

Sincerely,

Be Careful. Bogus Fees Are The Norm!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 05, 2012

Sounds to me like you discovered you've been vicumized by the Bogus, Add-On, Phoney Fee CONGAME.  Here's how it works:  The dealer doesn't have the integrity or honesty to operate their business accordingly.  They advertise a FAKE PRICE for a car...a price they know they won't sell the car for, such as $10,000.  In reality they want $10750 for that car.  Any reputable retailer will price their item honestly but not in the Sleazy American Car Business.  In our example above, they will DECEIVE you into thinking the car costs just $10000.  However, they come up with $750 in official sounding but COMPLETELY BOGUS fees to make up for it.  One of the keys to carrying out this FRAUD is to call the BOGUS FEE something which sounds reasonable, yet, its nothing more than a CONGAME.  Notice, I'm not talking about taxes or an actual registration fee.  The dealer collects those fees for the state.  When I talk about registration fee, I mean the actual amount the state requires which is NOT $400-$800 consumers get defrauded with.  The slime of the car business attempt to justify their CONGAME by making the excuse "we disclose all fees".  BS!  $750 for "documentation" doesn't legitimize a well known CONGAME.  When a guy with a mask and gun walks into the 711, he has just "disclosed" his intentions!  Another excuse used in the Sleazy American Car Business is to hide behind the BBB.  The BBB is nothing more than a snake in the grass congame as well.  Anybody can BUY a BBB membership and anybody can BUY any phoney accreditation they want.  I direct you to bbbroundup.com or go to YouTube and enter "BBB scam" in the search box.  The dealers cry and whine that they have business expenses to cover.  That's correct, they do.  So does Walmart, McDonalds or tons of other businesses and guess what...you don't ever see them DEFRAUDING the public with BOGUS FEES like the Sleazy American Car Business does!

The only remedy here is to make you whole.  Whatever BOGUS FEES you've been hit with need to be refunded to you directly and quickly.  They got caught...now they can come clean!

Trying to reach you

AUTHOR: Phil Wolhar - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, June 04, 2012

Dear customer,

I've tried to reach out to you on multiple review sites over the past 30 days.  To date, I have not heard anything from you.  At this time, though, we cannot determine who you are.  You have used different usernames on different sites and we cannot back into any of them from our end.

Our general manager, Steve Skulnik, would like to speak to you about your concerns.  His phone number at the dealership is 516-623-9600.

We take fraud seriously.  If there were items that were fraudulent, again, we would appreciate an opportunity to speak to you.

If there were erroneous charges due to the out of state nature of your purchase, we would appreciate an opportunity to make things right.

Please contact us at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Phil Wolhar
