So here's my story so far... I bought one of these cards at the local Safeway. Thought, "Finally! A reloadable prepaid card over $200" I had been hoping these would come out, as $200 cards can't be used to pay for things over that amount online. So, I put a hundred on it, took it home, and went online to activate it. Everything went fine until it asked me to enter my SIN number. Now, admittedly, this part is my fault... I guess my mind was on something else, but I mistakenly entered an area code for three digits of my SIN number that were very close to it. I didn't realize it until after I had clicked next, and from then on, I couldn't continue my activation. Every time, it came up with a No_User_Found error. So, I thought.. "My bad.. I'll just call customer service and explain what happened and they'll just change it for me." Nope... they told me that I had to fax them copies of my ID, SIN, and two bills with my current address on them, and gave me a fax number. (855-604-0582) Thinking this was a reputable company, I did exactly what they told me to do. I got it all together, and even wrote a note to explain what happened again. But, the fax wouldn't go through. So, I called them again, and again explained everything to the person. Her response was... oh, that fax is broken. Let me give you an email address, (canadapaypower.registration@bhnetwork.com) and you can send it there. So, again, I collected all my info, and scanned a .pdf to send to them. But alas, the email address bounced back.

So, I called again... explained everything again.. And the guy told me that each of the words in the email needed to be uppercase. (CanadaPayPower.Registration@bhnetwork.com) So, I tried it again. (The email addresses were both exactly as explained to me, btw. I didn't have them wrong.) and guess what... bounce. So... again, after explaining everything over again, the next person gave me a new fax number and my very own reference number to attach to the next fax. That fax has now been sent. Then, I started to get worried about this company, so I called back to confirm that they received my fax, and was told that he can't tell me that information. I asked to talk to someone higher up, and he told me he wasn't allowed to and he'd get them to call me back in a couple of days. So... I asked for my money back. Answer... It would take 20 days to mail it to me, and they would charge me almost $10 for a return fee. I asked him how they could justify charging me a fee after giving me a nonexistent fax number AND email address, and his answer was that it was my problem that I didn't want to spend my own money at a store, which apparently works, and not online, which will work, so they say, in a couple of business days. So, now my personal info has been sent to some fax machine somewhere in a company that I no longer trust at all. One thing I can trust, is that I'll be adding to this as things transpire, and going all the way to the top if I have to. Thanks for reading.
