November 27, 2006 I purchased a brand new mini trampoline at Play It Again Sports Decatur, GA North Dekalb Mall. The salesperson assured me it would be easy for me to fold and carry in my cad or store at home. On January 2,2007 I read the instruction that said it took two strong persons to open and close the trampoline I realized it was not what I had been told so I took it back to the store with my receipt and the young man told me it was difficult and was going to exchane for a different kind and I was to pay a difference on the amount.

Suddenly a person appeared from the back and said she was the manager and told me all sales in the store was final and it stated so on the receipt.

But that was not what the receipt said. It read as follows: At the bottom. All sales final on Visor, Bikes Racks, Joggers, New Bats, Football equipment, Cups, Cloothing and all Clearence. None of which applied to the trampoline.

I requestly politely to exchange, store credit or would take the trampoline back and leave. i also, explained it was not necessary for the rudeness or a scene, especially in front of all the people in the store. The manager, Jennifer Carlson became irate she was calling security. I picked up the trampoline to leave and she pushed on the end of the box and said I could not even take the trampoline, she would have me band from the store and the mall and mind you I had a receipt, the merchandise was not used.

The manager called security and I called 911. Mall security came first and she demanded they get out the store and myself the locked us out and kept my trmpoline she would not l. The security guards said it was nothing they could do because the manager was right was correct when she stated she could put anybody out, Play Again Sports was privately owned.

The Dekalb county policearrived they saw the receipt, the manager ran outside yelling and while one police talked to her the othe one got a cart took the trampoline and put it in my car. They drove off and I drove off and the manager was running after my car for quite a distance apprearing to be real angry and I felt she wanted to do me harm.

I phone the mall main office and every one had gone for the day and the store owner as well. I called another Play It Again Store and was told they would have worked with me for there has been problems with this particular trampoline where they put it together for customers as a safety measure and advise it can not be taken down or folded.

This sounds familiar.

My situation sounds about the same.  I purchased a bat one day and tried to return it the next and was told that I would not be given a refund.  The owners were professional but lack to properly disclose their refund/return policy clearly, in my opinion.  They have it printed on the bottom of the reciept, which would be to late anyway.  They also have in in a long letter at the register which most shoppers would not think to look, in a long letter.  I ask that they make every shopper informed so that they would make a informed purchase.  They can do so by better signage around the store and by word of mouth.  BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Request for removal should not be granted until company admits customer bad treatment

It would be unfair to remove customer complaints when their rebuttal denies any accountability on the part of the company by employing mean spirited persons. The owner did not and can not given an accurate acount of the facts because he was not there during the events of the incident. The public has a right to be aware that in visiting this company and making purchases they may not have a pleasant experience in returning faulty merchandise. I never got an apology and probally never will. Therefore. I opposed to removing the report I submited.

Customer Breaks Law Two Months After Purchasing Our Trampoline

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 03, 2008

Customer purchased trampoline two months prior to returning it. We offered store credit for the return even though it is a 30 day exchange. The customer became belligerent, would not accept the exchange, and when asked to leave the store, refused to leave. When the police came, and she left, she attempted to run over an employee.

We do all we can to satisfy our customers, however, we can not control the behavior of all customers. We have been in business for 10 years and this is the first time a customer has ever said anything negative.

It has been a year and a half from this report and we would please like it removed.
