I was trying to make a reservation for a hotel in Buffalo, NY.  I went through all of the Priceline screens with a bid of $69.00.  I was required to put in my credit card information and a screen came up that had a price of $81.00 on it.  I pressed the back key, not the accept key and it charged me for a $83.00 room.  After speaking with two representives of Priceline they said they had video of me accepting the $83.00 rate.  I asked the customer service person to tell me the number that they had put on the screen and he could not do that.  They had all of the other information that I had put in including the original offer.  I travel many times a year and have used their services in the past many times.  This appears to be a change in the way they upcharge you to a higher cost room.  I will never use Priceline again.
