Priceline is a scam. Their name your own price never really works and if you buy insurance they will find any excuse not to honor it.  I went with their service because of their cancellation insurance.  Then, I lost my job.  So I tried to Live Chat, and they said they could not help me at all and gave me a number to call.  Called the number, which connects you to a crackly connected call center in the Phillipines, and before I could hardly explain anything was trasfered to their insurance company, the name of which was never provided.  I then was told that even though I bought cancellation insurance, I would not be able to cancel and that if I wished to alter my travel arrangements it would be an additional $400 fee. Yep, Four Hundred.  Because, magically and suddenly, their cancellation insurance only covered job loss if you worked at the same employer for 3 years.  This is 2013.  If you have the same job for three months, you are lucky.  When I argued with that, I was suddenly transfered back to a Priceline rep in the Phillipines.  Before I could say anything, he tried to transfer me back to the same insurance company who had just told me that I had paid them for basically nothing.


Their customer service is non-existent. When you call, you get a crackly horrible connection for someone who rarely identifies themselves and then transfers you immediately. You just get passed back and forth to phone reps who obviously don't care or have the tools to help you. There is no email address to contact them anywhere on the site and when I tried their contact us comments section, I got an email back saying that they didn't get my full message and there for couldn't help me. I reported them to the BBB, who did nothing, which seems incredibly suspect considering there are over 3000 registered complaints with the BBB, but they still have an A+ rating.  They have the BBB in their pocket.  Their services are a scam.  There are too many other travel sites out there to support a company as deceitful and greedy as Priceline.
