On Tuesday June 3rd I was sitting at my desk at work. I received a phone call from a man by the name of Gregory Casto of Primerica Financial Services a division of Citigroup. Mr. Casto stated that someone forwarded my business card to him and said that I might just be what Primerica Financial Services was looking for. When I asked whom had forwarded my information he couldn't remember and basically said that it was not important.

Mr Casto stated that Primerica had opened an office in the Springfield area and he wanted me to come in for an interview on Saturday June 7, 2003. I scheduled a time with Mr. Casto and decided I would drive by the office on my way home from work to get a better understanding of where it was located. When I drove by that evening there were no signs on the front of the building or even a sign notating where it was located.

Friday evening I drove back by and right on the front of the building was a BIG sign with the company logo which clearly wasn't there a few days before. This morning (Saturday) I woke up and got ready for the interview and arrived at 8:15 A.M. at the office. I walked into the building and was standing in a large open and empty room. Off to the right was a smaller room with a cheap looking desk set up in the corner. I stood there and could hear people talking down the hallway off of the smaller room.

Mr Casto came walking out from the "conference room" which had 4 executive style chairs lined up across the room and a small TV in the corner. I walked in and sat with 2 other women who were already seated in the chairs. Mr. Casto introduced a man who was going to give us the first half of a presentation and the background on the company and promptly excused himself from the room.

I sat for the first half an hour watching a pretty impressive slide presentation and even tried to ask a few questions. Each time I asked a question it was immediately stated that we would save questions for the 2nd half of the interview process which would be scheduled a few days later. Which I thought was a little odd considering I would want to know a little more about the company before I went on to step TWO.

The first half hour moved relatively quickly and Mr. Casto entered the room to talk about compensation and those sorts of things. As I stared a little closer I couldn't help but notice the cheap suit that he was wearing. I could have bought a better looking suit from Walmart. Mr.Casto stated that he was making between $60,000 and $80,000 a year. He stated that it fluctuated depending on how many "clients" seeked your services. I then started thinking something wasn't right with this whole situation. Surely if he was making this much money he could have bought a lot nicer suit to wear for his presentation or recruiting of new people.

Then came the kicker there would be a $250 fee which went towards licensing and a background check. When asked why there was a fee it was a security deposit for Citigroup to make sure you didn't use them to get your license and then move on. Mr. Casto said that Citigroup would reimburse you $200 of that money after you were licensed and working for them. (I found that odd.) So I asked how they could reimburse you for such a thing and he said through "tuition" reimbursement.

Mr. Casto called me into his office to schedule a followup interview. I couldn't help but notice that I didn't see a computer anywhere in the building. Strange for a company that does debt consolidation work. I thought about not calling and not going back to the office but I want to go in and face the crooks face to face with some of the information I have found on your site. I am also going to work on a financial breakdown on some of the numbers they threw out there.

I walked out of the office and headed on to my real job. As I sat looking through the brochure he handed me I couldn't help but look at the number breakdowns of the back. The numbers just don't make sense. I will post more when I finsih the breakdown. An hour wasted that I could have slept in.

If anyone is interested in contacting him here is his information
