Professional Fitness and all the above (since they change there name, each time a certain number of complaints are filed to prevent bankruptcy! New name coming soon Atlantic Coast ABS) represents the direct opposite of their name.  This organization is unprofessional, practices unethical business practices, and provide the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my 29 years of living!!!! I signed up for my contract mid February and have encountered it all! I have been a victim of trainers being fired (I have had 3 different trainers in 2 months), rude customer service (Tiffany yells and asks sarcastic questions, while Adam simply hangs up in the middle of your concerns), unauthorized billing (Tiffany was suppose to change my payment date, she failed to change it and then proceeded to put a block on my account so no one else can make changes to it, and I was charged extra nonpayment and late fees), after all of this, I demanded to cancell my contract, and of course! The only way this will happen is if I pay this months payment in addition to a 25% remaining balance fee!!! "Professional Fitness" has got to be Kidding me!!! After my own experiences and reading soooo many other complaints (also check out the Better Business Bureau and google business complaints and lawsuits), I have decided to put an end to "Professional" fitness.

I plan to file a complain on any website or blog site available in effort to maximize exposure.  Immediately following this post, I will be contacting a lawyer to file a class action suit (if you would like to be apart of this, pls respond to this post).  I will also be speaking with the General Managers of Z-mack (formally know as Peak Fitness) to apply pressure to the company they choose to outsource their personal training staff.  I will also be contacting the news stations for consumer alert exposure, and hopefully they will join myself and several others in front of the "Professional" fitness office in petition for better customer service and the ability to cancel contarcts.  Finally, I will be personally contacting the senior management team of "Professional" fitness.  If you would like to do the same, here are their names and phone numbers:

Ted Sampson 919-818-7261, Scott Higginbothan 919-271-3782, Colt 919-818-5141, Dan Fahey (is not listed)

Ridiculous

AUTHOR: Tiffany - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 07, 2013

This company is completely ridiculous! I had signed up for 6 months with a trainer in November and the last payment was supposed to be last month in April. I have been keeping an eye on my credit report lately, and it showed that this account with them had been closed.

I check my bank account today, and it shows that they took the money out again. I called my gym, and they left a mesage with a trainer that runs it at that gym, and I remembered that I had his phone number still so I sent him a quick text message. He gave me the number for corporate and told me to call them asap to have it canceled. He was super nice about it all.

BUT! When I called corporate, I had to leave a message for them because no one was answering the customer service lines. They called me back and the guy was "trying" to be nice, but wasn't at all. I explained to him that NO ONE had explained to me that it would be automatically renewed and that they shorted my rent by taking that money out.

I had just been laid off two weeks ago, and I was counting on the money from my last check to cover my rent that is due in ONE week. They refused to give me the money back even though they were in the wrong by not telling me it would be automatically renewed.

The gym even explains the fees and renewals to you when you first sign up, and how are you supposed to remember something from a trainer 6 months later. Especially when I only used the trainer ONCE and had problems the entire first month with even getting a scheduled time with her.

There was always some reason why she couldn't do it, or she just didn't show up, or she had to cancel on me. It was ridiculous. So I just figured I would just pay the money and not deal with it again after the 6 months were over. WRONG! They don't care about anything except their money that they assume they're supposed to have no matter what. Their customer service doesn't help you with anything, and they're just an awful company all together. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, and I would NEVER use them again.

Professional Fitness is a scam!!

AUTHOR: natalie - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 24, 2010

In may my friend and I decided to try personal training with Professional Fitness,  and were signed up by a crook named John Maberry. We told him that we wanted a trainer who would be consistant and train with us every Monday. He set us up with a trainer he said could work out with us for the whole period of our contract, which is 3 months. After the first workout that trainer said that he could no longer workout with us and that John Maberry had told him he was only suppost to be training us until another lady came who would take our training over, we were never told any of this when we signed up.

After the first training I was then told that I would have a trainer I could workout with, when I showed up on Monday none of the trainers were told this, and I just got lucky that one of them didn't have a client, and could work out with us. And after that for 4 weeks I was not trained, the lady who was suppost to train me never showed up, and guess what? Professional Fitness were no longer training there. They were being taken over by the Ideal Fitness, the gym that outsourced their personal training, and all the people in charge of Professional Fitness were no longer in Kentucky. I tried talking to Ideal Fitness about it and they said they had no way of contacting anyone from Professional Fitness, and that they wouldn't be taking it over until the 1st of July. I had paid the first payment for that month and had recieved only 2 trainings.

I then called their customer service, and tried getting a refund which is the worst customer service I have ever talked to. They said they had no record of me paying, and asked me to fax them my contract , when I faxed it to them they said since I signed the contract there was nothing I could do. The payment they were suppost to have taken out on the 5th of June, which they didn't take then, they then tried taking it the day that I faxed them my contact. I had put a block on it with my bank, and now I have collections calling me saying I owe them, the contract should not even be valid because they left! The collection agency told me to call their corporate office, but they don't have the number, I tried talking to Ideal Fitness about it, but wouldn't you know, they don't have any of Professional Fitness's numbers and have no way of contacting them.

I have had nothing but trouble out of them and it seems there is no way out. I have talked multiple times to Ideal Fitness and they say they will honor the contract with Professional Fitness and that I can work out with them, I don't want to deal with it anymore. I don't know what to do, I guess I have no choice but to pay, I should have looked up the reviews about Professional Fitness before I joined. If you are thinking about joining PLEASE JOIN SONEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!! If anyone has suggestions on what to do please let me know...
