We purchased our 42" Protron TV from KMart and it had a flaw on the screen. KMart did not have a replacement TV so we elected to deal with Protron directly. First mistake!
We shipped the TV to their facility in CA at our expense in March 2008. They never called us. We have called them long distance mulitiple times to find out the status of repairs. They have had our TV over 4 months now. They keep promising to ship it but it hasn't been returned yet. Now they tell us it will be shipped in August. Yeah, right!
Likely, we will be taking legal action against Protron Digital if they continue to keep our TV captive. Meantime, don't buy any product from this company or with the Protron label or they may rip you off, too!

Captive TV found at warehouse and recovered (for a price)

We tracked down the address of the warehouse in southern California, and while on vacation showed up at their warehouse door unannounced, demanding to get our TV back. After confirming with their company offices, they agreed to give us a new TV--same make and model as the one we shipped them. It only cost us $68 to ship it back home to Montana, so total shipping costs came to over $100 to get a product from Protron/Spectron without a flaw. At least we got the TV back. I still wouldn't trust this company and will never buy one of their products again. Buyer beware!
