  • Provident Financial Services 8641 Bay Pine Rd., Ste. #9, Jacksonville, Florida U.S.A.

Provident Financial Services, said they were a company better than Consumer Counseling Services, and that their company would not hurt your credit. In fact, I would be debt-free in 16 months. That was a year ago, and they have disappeared. Jacksonville Florida

In December of 2007, I signed on with Provident Financial Services, Inc. They had contacted me via the internet, saying they would help me settle old debts. They claimed that they would call each creditor, make a settlement at a reduced rate, and I would pay them off, one by one.

My first three payments were to be to Provident Financial directly, for their services. I mailed them three payments of a little over $300 each. After that, I sent them $50. per month, maintenance fee. I was to hear from them and learn which account to pay first.

After waiting for a few months, I started E-mailing them, asking what account I should pay on. No answer. After 2-3 attempts to contac them,
I called and asked that my account me discontinued. I looked over my paperwork and saw that any problems would have to be handled by a
mediator. I figured I would never win.

Then I contacted each of my creditors and they were NEVER contacted by Provident Financial Services. So, in other words, when I found out they were a fraud in August, I called them and their phone number had a recording stating, I should "call the operator."

Provident Financial Services owes me $1150 for services that were never rendered. In fact, from December of 2007 until I found them "out of business" in August of 2008, no payments had been paid on my account, and I was in an even bigger mess!

No more trusting any more consumer help companies!
