AFter moving into our new house (few months after we got moved in) some friends of ours told us about this company and that they were signing up as well as their parents etc.  Wife and I sat down with Bret Countryman (salesman) and he sold us on the idea of using our money for food to put toward Quality Foods program which consisted of having to get a freezer if wanting to get food warranty (if something went wrong had to have their freezer for them to honor it and replace ruined food as well as give a discount toward the food itself).  It was explained every 9 months that we would get delivered new food and make changes etc and we would have a 9 month supply of food to live on (aside from minor things like bread, milk etc.. they pretty much made it all how you wish.. all sounded good!). 

Bret signed us up, was inpressed with the speed of the delivery of food and freezer (although same freezer can be got at Home Depot for like 500 dollars and was supposto be a "commercial grade one.").  Bret came back in a couple months (and we had refered a lot of people to the company.. but a lot of them did not deal with Bret and were unhappy with the guy who came out.  Bret sold us on getting an additional gas grill (mainly to give a further deduction on the montly food price we paid and when it and the freezer were paid off we would still have the discount on the food (even though the gas grill we got was not worth near what they valued it at and id did not come with instructions on set up or use!)  I got a call from Brett and a lady with the company asking how we liked the grill.  I told them no instructions and they both told me they would send it!  I to this day have never received them!!!  Further calls to them and with finance issues concerning Jefferson Financial resulted  in us having to try to call Quality Foods.. they do not reply/return calls.  Wife and I also have tried email and calling Brett with no replys to financing issues we have and for food delivery as we are out of food and have not got a call to get the new batch of food delivered to us!!!

Jefferson Financial (whom I believe is a "name" that is used for the finance department of Quality Foods is less than nice in dealing with us on the phone.  We have explained the issue with Quality Foods with them pertaining to the not getting a hold of them and such.  We also get a bill for more than what is supposto be as apparently Quality Foods never submitted the discount for the fridge and the grill we got toward the food price.  Jefferson Financial also on the first bill we got delayed it and instead of wanting the normal amount agreed on for first payment thru Quality Foods they wanted backed money cause they sent the statement late too us.  We explained this to Jefferson Financial, they said they don't care its not their problem and we have to deal with Quality Foods. 

Well I have decided to make it their problem.  I am now not paying Jefferson Financial at all.  We had paid them when we could not afford to pay other creditors due to a long custody battle I am in and that we told Brett about and he understood how our finances are at this time.  When we budget the amount given to Quality Foods thru Jefferson Financial we were told how we would save money and that "we have to buy food."  With this in mind we got into this contract as we figured our food delivered to us for the most part would save us gas/time and higher prices in the grocery store etc.  Now that we are in a contract and we have to pay the amount no matter if we are getting the product or not and no calls by company either.. we decided to not pay Jefferson Financial (who I again believe is part of Quality Foods.. and if not than I hope they get a clue and look into Quality Foods and not dismiss them as they had done with us).   I can not pay them do that as that money has to go to food for my family and since Quality Foods does not contact me and I cant get a hold of them it sort of puts me in a bind, thus we will have to see what happens now...

So now I am getting notices by Jefferson Financial to pay them and that they are getting an Attorney on us and that we will be responsible for their attorney and court costs!  Bring it on from what I am reading there are more and more people having issue with both and I believe them to be scams!  I also know that the other two families that got us into the Quality Foods also have not been returned calls and have not got a new delivery of food.  They however are still paying Jefferson Financial, although they do so just to maintain their credit.
