 I have been a resident of the Petworth area my whole life. The neighborhood has been pretty gentrified for the past 5 years  so when I found out a virgin hair store would be coming,  I was excited! I am a hairstylist and I spend over a thousand dollars on virgin hair annually. I bought my first bundle of hair from here in June 2014 to add to the hair I already had, and it was a huge difference (brazilian straight). The hair wouldnt  take to the black dye,it could not hold a curl and overall was a mess (I had to brush several times an hour, ends were horrific) . I am an expert with taking care of weaves so I went back to purchase hair for my sister and I was hoping she would have a better experience (brazilian body wave). My poor sister's hair was so matted after we used flexies to curl it.Although you get what you pay for $200 is still a lot of money for some and we dont play those kind of games.

In September 2014  I decided to go back one last time because I could not find anywhere to purchase hair same day for my birthday. HUGE MISTAKE! I bought 4 bundles of the malaysian curly (20,22, 2 x 24= $290) and surpsingly it was beautiful until it wasnt which was about a month later. The hair was extremely hard to manage (one of the sales associates told me to keep a spray bottle) but even with constant spraying and cowashing the hair was just done. I ended up cutting off more than 10 inches of my longer bundles and even with that, the hair would matt up. There were no more curls just an nappy looking wild afro that was almost impossible to comb.Although I did not complain to the company, I am hoping someone can see my review and save themselves a few bucks. The hair is horrible just look at the women who work there (weaves are awful). Save your $200 and put it towards quality virgin hair.
