We also got suckered into this trip and actualy took it.

We recived a confermation call a couple of days before the trip and was told that every thing was fine, when I asked about the hurrican Wilma that was going to hit I was told that every thing would be fine that when it hit it would blow over in a few hours and everything would be bright and sunny.

We arrived on Sat. 10-22-05 and spent the money to upgrade to a mid-size car serval hundred dollers, I'm not sure but can you not rent a car for this price normaly?

When we checked into our room the ac was on and the room extremly cold so we turned it off as the room warmed up the bathroom floor got wet and every thing in the room got damp.

There was mold around the windows and vents the bath tub was dirty.

The all inclusive that I paid extra for was a joke the buffet had no selection to it and you were lucky to get a glass of water the service was so bad. paid tax and gratuity they have to force that on you because of the bad service you would never tip any other way.

Sun. was the time share I did know about it and got out of it in about 2 1/2 hours with out buying but once again the people were very rude. they also told us that Wilma would blow over when it hit and every thing would be fine.

we spent the rest of the day going on an air boat ride no problems there. then went to Butterfly World Aprox. $40 there and when we paid and got inside they informed us they were collecting butterflies what a special day and gave us a rain check to come back for free if we were ever in Florida again.

Thats because they had collected most of the butterflies to protect them from the storm so very few to look at.

Back at the hotel for the night once again rude people and poor service the room had been cleaned if you can call it that and the ac was full blast again very cold . only half the towels had been replaced and no bath mat.

According to the staff they had never lost power or had trees blow down befor so every thing would be fine when Whilma hit.

I sat and watched out the window as the storm came through and watched trees blow over on cars, the 5th floor windows blew out the power went out then an hour later the generator went out.

We recieved a cold breakfast in the dark no service still had to pay tax and gatuity. for lunch we got a 1/2 of a sandwich and a very small scoop of potato salad and had to go to our room to eat that not allowed to set in dinning room.

At 6PM Monday we were told we needed to leave an go to Orlando because we were an inconvinance to the staff. well with it close to dark only a 1/2 tank of gas and power lines laying across the street in front of the hotel we stayed the night. found a small store open and bought candle and pop tarts and a gallon of water for dinner and breakfast.

Next day went to Orlando was almost out of gas before we found a station open not to bad of a line 20 min.
Got to Orlando Ramada 1000 Looked very nice they sent us to the Ameri Host another dump with rude people and bad service we were suposed to be on our cruise to the Bahamas not at this dump.

They told us the cruise would be going out the next day come back to the welcome center to confirm it.

Tuesday shot getting to Orlando and getting checked in Twin room both beds were dirty had to call housekeeping to change the sheets both beds bathroom dirty hair every where bathtub was slow draining they would not fix it other people said theres were the same, the water would not hold a constant temerture it would go from warm to cold and back again never had what I would call hot water they assured me the engineer was working on the problem never was fixed.

Wednesday they kept saying they didnt have any information on the cruise to come back later they were sure it would be going out. Could not do much as we had to keep checking back every couple hours. the day wasted checking back all the time. They could not tell me the name of there reginol manager or what his phone number was only the managers number at the hotel but he was not in how convenient since no one was happy with the way they were being treated.

Thusday morning when we were told to come back again in a couple of hours we went to our room caled the air line and had our tickets changed from leaving saturday to leave thursday instead. went back to the welcome center and told them we were leaving did they have a number to contact about getting a refund for the cruise, had not dealt with this guy before he said no problem and wrote down an adrees from memory.

This is as he wrote it down even though they had been saying all along they had nothing to do with the cruise or Ramada Plaza Resorts he had the adress memorized and was the only person we dealt with that was polite and helpful.

I doubt that writing to them will do me any good from what I've read here but got to try some thing.

Did I tell you we took this trip on our 12 annaversary my wife had always wanted to goto the Bahamas. If we go it will not be through Ramada or any other of there companies.

Has any one been able to get any thing back after the fact?
