Raymour and Flanigan Furniture is not to be trusted. Specifically a sales rep by the name of Jessica and her manager Robert.

This morning after yet another horrible night with no sleep I got the big idea that maybe the mattress had something to do with it. So why not buy a new mattress and hopefully a good niights sleep would be in my future. I chose to search for a bed online at Raymour and Flanigan since we have a credit line with them and they offer fairly decent 0% interest promos. I found what looked to be a winner, a Bellanest Royal Super Plush Euro Top King Mattress on sale for $539.00 ( http://www.raymourflanigan.com/royal-super-plush-euro-top-f… ). Great I thought at 2:30 in the morning.

After doing some running around my wife and I headed out to Raymour and Flanigan's Dewitt NY location. We were greeted by a nice girl named jessica and informed we would receive a beautiful serving bowl with any purchase, BONUS right?

I told Jessica what we were looking for and she stated that was great since she was a mattress expert, her words not mine. So we get to the bed, we lay down on it, try a few different levels firm, plush and super plush and settled on the super plush as we saw online. I asked her how much the box spring would cost and she informed me that box springs were FREE. BONUS #2 right?

Well not so fast. Jessica states that the sale price of the mattress is $829.00. I tell her I think we are looking at the wrong bed because I saw it online this morning for $539.00. She assures me I am incorrect and this is the least expensive king bed they carry do to the sale price. So even though I am 99.9% sure this is the same bed as advertised online for $539.00 we continue on with the order. We add a bed frame for $129.99, an area rug for our sons room for another $179.00 and two pillows for get this, $59.99 each all in an effort to spend enough to qualify for 24 months interest free. Total $1263.77, a ways off from the required minimum but we purchased a dining room table and chairs two months ago for $1604.00 and they had no problem extending the 24 month 0% term so why not spend a few hundred more to get there right? So after all of this they can not extend the term and I tell them I would rather go to â€ª#‎metromattress‬ for there merchandise because the terms are better.

Instead we come home, I look the mattress up online and sure as s**t there it is in all it's glory on sale at $539.00. Now isn't that a b***h? So I call the store and speak to the manager, Robert. I proceed to ask him why the price advertised is not honored at the store and he tells me it is. I of course, being me, argue the point that if this is true I would like to continue with the sale at the sale price stated online. He tells me that I will need to choose a box spring. When I choose a boxspring online it adds $300.00 to my order. This is where the shady part comes to light. I tell him there is an error with the system because it is adding $300.00 for the box spring when his saleswomen just stated to us that box springs were free. He says "she wouldn't tell you that", so I guess now not only am I cheap (lol) but I am a liar too. Well here's the thing, because we were so close to finalizing the purchase, a copy of the sales order was emailed to me showing the mattress at $828.98 and each box spring at $.01 since as Jessica stated "we have to show it somehow so it ends up on the truck".

Robert says it doesn;t matter how they state the price either $829.00 with a free box spring or $539.00 + $300.00 for the box spring because it is still the same. I DISAGREE!!!!!

To say that the mattress is on sale for $829.00 and the box springs are free when you are advertising the mattress for the sale price of $539.00 is deceptive. To back up your sales staff for lying to a customer is bad business. I would have gladly paid for the box spring had I been told at the store that the mattress was in fact on sale for $539.00 but I had to pay $300.00 for the box spring but because I was not only told that box springs were free but received the written sales order backing this up, I expect the box spring to be free and the sale price of $539.00 for the mattress to honored. Robert did not see this my way.

Well Robert and Jessica, you have just cost Raymour and Flanigan to lose a customer for life. I will finish paying off my previous purchase, and yes I will now use the entire 24 months just so your company does not receive the money any earlier and have the benefit of it being in their bank account instead of mine. I will purchase from your competitor so that your lying saleswomen does not benefit from the commission she would have received from this order. I will tell everyone who I come in contact with either personally or through social media of the events that lead to my decision to never purchase from Raymour and Flanigan again. And Jessica, you should always remember, one sales professional to another, when your customer is satisfied with their purchase or service they might tell one or two people, but when they get screwed, they tell EVERYONE!
