RentCollect Corp. Bullying me into paying 4500 dollars, for an apartment I have a release form from. Everett Washington

This company basically called me 3 weeks ago saying I owe 4500 dollars. The thing is I signed (along with the apartment complex) and still have a copy of the Roommate Amendum that they are going off of (and everything else for that matter). They are saying without question I am liable for the eviction and late rental months because my roommate never signed the Roommate Amendum.

They also say it does not matter at all that every single late notice, eviction paperwork, and cleanup charges are under his name only. I moved out in September, after the initial 6 month contract was up. I signed the Roommate Amendum the month after. Everyone I have talked to has said they do not have a leg to stand on.

They have offered no proof what so ever that I am liable for the debt they are seeking. And at no point was I ever contacted after I signed the Roommate Amendum until this Collection Agency called saying I owe 4500 dollars 9 months after I signed the release.

They are trying to take my money and abusing me, because they know full well my ex roommate will not pay them. They want their money and will screw anyone they can even if they abuse someone who legally is not liable.
