Unless you're an engineer who knows pool construction and are willing to supervise the job, don't use Riverbend Sandler.   During construction work was done shoddily or left unfinished  - for example, pipes leading to the scuppers leaked (dramatically), the electrical sub-contractors were unlicensed and chased off the job site by the city inspector, the pool drain line was left open and draining into my front yard until I made MANY phone calls insisting it drain to the street (as per plan), etc etc etc.

Since completion in June '08 two parts have failed.  As the first failed within the first year it was replaced under warranty, the second was NOT as it had been 17 months - despite the fact that the Service dept said it WAS under the 3 year equipment warranty when I called it in.  $165 later, guess that was just a way to keep my from using a REPUTABLE vendor.

Again, if you're willing and knowledable enough to supervise the job - watching all work, checking sub-contractors licenses, calling again and again as work isn't completed or accomplished poorly, go ahead & use Riverbend.  Otherwise, find another pool contractor!

Riverbend Sandler Pools is a reputable custom pool builder.  Anytime a contractor is asked to perform a service such as building a house or a pool there is always a punch list to finish everything so that ultimately customer satisfaction is achieved.  The punch list in this case was to extend the drain in the yard and to ensure the scuppers werent leaking.  This was accomplished and the customer signed off on it.  The next issue apparent in this complaint was that our electrical sub-contractor was not licensed.  This is not true, any sub-contractor we use is licensed, and the sub-contractor on this job was licensed.  He may have had someone in training at the job site and the city inspector did his job to ensure the job was done correctly by asking the trainee to leave.  The job was completed by the licensed sub-contractor we hired in the beginning.

Because Riverbend Sandler Pools is a National Pools Guild member our equipment carries a 3-year warranty. This warranty only applies when the vendor is also a member of the National Pools Guild.  Intermatic Timers and Freeze Guards carry a one-year warranty and are they not members of the National Pools Guild.  The customer did have to pay $165.00 to have the Intermatic product repaired (the Intermatic product was 2-years old).  Please note that Riverbend Sandler Pools stand behind our warranties and the quality of our work.
