last year when my husband was in iraq i bought a 06 scion xb from rk, i thought i was getting a great deal seeing that i had just got ripped off by a VW dealership in texas. my sales person told me that the scion keeps it value great. well it was a lie. Now i am trying to trade in my xb because i have to due to a personal issue and i can not find any dealership that can give me near what i owe. i owe over 18000 and they tell me that the car is only worth 10. i had a great experience with the dealership they worked with me since i was useing a power of atterney, but the sales guy lied to me to get a sale and now i cant get rid of a car that i have to!

well first off i havent even had the car a year to make 18 payments... and second i wasnt saying it was there fault, yes it is mine for makeimg sure it was priced wrong, what i was tryn to say is i got lied to buy a sales man and now i am haveing a issue and yet that is my fault as well. i liked the dealership and the people there but in every work place you have one bad seed and i got that one, this is more about the person and me blowing off steam then anything, i mean i got a 8% rate for 60 mths and pay about 400 a mth and financed it at 21 and the extras that i put on it i did out of pocket away from the dealership so that was not tacked on to the cost... and vw you just have to know the story

It is your fault you still over $18,000

how do you still owe $18000 that is not the sales person or the companys fault?? That vehicle is worth NEW $17,800. Scion products are not discounted so I assume that is what you paid. Ohh if you added accessories to personalize great but now you eat those costs, it is a used vehicle. So since it is a 2006 and you bought it in 2006 you should have been paying on it for more than 18 months. So considering you have good credit and are not paying 21% because you don't pay your bills. Also lets consider that you were finacially minded to also pay your taxes in fees out of pocket. So say you were finally minded, did 60 month loan at 6%, and have made 18 payments. your payoff should be $11668. They did not screw you, you screwed yourself. I bet you rolled your "bad deal" with the VW and put any balance on that loan in this one and financed all your taxes aswell. For the $10,000 for the trade, they know you owe $18000 and you can't get out of it, if it was $11,668 they would most likely work with you. Trade value and Retail Values are two different things. Also you never stated condition.. so it may be with that. who knows, you have no right complaining on something you did to yourself.

It Just Goes To Prove That...

Toyotas are not what people have been led to believe. They DO NOT hold their value like Hondas. Don't blame the Dealership for this one. You cannot blame them for any personal problems, but you can contact the Bank or Credit Union where the car is Financed and get copies of ALL THE LOAN DOCUMENTS that were submitted by the Dealer. There is a chance that your Loan Documents were altered. If this is so, you can sue them and get out of your transaction.

Every consumer in the USA should contact the Bank or Credit Union where your vehicle is Financed. People would be SHOCKED as to what was REALLY submitted to the Bank. Look for WARRANTIES that you were never told about. NEVER trust your Loan Copies that the Dealer gave you!!
