Wow. I am totally disgusted. We went to Ruby Tuesday at Carousel Center recently with the expectation of having a good time. The expectation is where the fun ended. The hostess that night was unfriendly, not just to us but everyone, making for a lousy experience right off the bat.

We ordered drinks, margaritas, and it seemed like it took forever just to get drinks. Finally, I just asked for two glasses of ice water thinking that would have to do. Finally, the waitress showed up and displayed the stangest behavior I have seen from a waitress in quite some time. She poointed to our glasses of water and said, "How are your Margaritas?" I thought this was strange and said, "Oh, that's water. Where are our drinks?" She replied, "Oh, right.." (still pointing to our water) ... "yeah, how are your margaritas?" It was the weirdest thing, and this kind of behavoir continued throughout the entire meal. Finally we got our drinks only to find that there was no alcohol in them, so naturally we asked for new drinks.

When the new drinks were finally delivered, they were no different. I would have to say that THESE WERE THE LOUSIEST DRINKS I HAVE EVER HAD DINING OUT! There was no apology from the waitress and instead, nothing else was done about the problem. I was pretty upset.

I recieved my plate of ribs which was okay, but a bit on the cold side. Anyone who knows the restaurant business knows that ribs cool off fast, and serving food at the right temperature is just a very basic part of service that should be corrected if there is a problem. In the case of ribs, you need to hurry the plate to the tabe.. this was not done.

Later in the meal, we needed clean napkins... hello, we were eating ribs! A few napkins shouldn't be an issue. The waitress made a comment when I asked for napkins. "Napkins? You'll just have to use your pants!" Finally we got napkins, but the whole situation was just weird. I don't know if she thought she was being funny, but she was NOT FUNNY AT ALL. She came across rude, as did the other employees that night. Yuck!

At the end of the meal I refused to pay for the drinks. The night manager also never apologized, but did not charge for the drinks... only after resisting me four times. Not a single apology the entire time.

While we were eating, a customer passed out and collapsed at the front of the restaurant. This should have sent someone running immediately to call 911, but action was shockingly slow!! Finally saw someone running for help after about six minutes!! I am thinking... "Wow, this is POOR MANAGEMENT!"

And that is what it comes down to. Poor management.

I called the restaurant the next morning asking for a refund, explaining that I can go to the grocery store and pick of margarita mix and ribs, and enjoy them at home. I explained that it is not just the food that I go out for but it is for a good experience also. The day manager did apologize mechanically but was also a bit defensive. He did eventually offer $50 in coupons, and said they would be mailed out. The coupons have never arrived in the mail.

It's shameful service. It's a bad way to treat people who came in and spent alot of money on just two people. They have really gone down hill and we WILL NEVER BE EATING THERE AGAIN! I discourage anyone from eating at this restaurant. Save your hard earned money for something better!

I have never felt so put off when dining out. You would kind of had to have been there to understand what we went through, but there was NOTHING I would consider all that professional about the service being give.

And, like I said before, it comes down to poor management.

That is absolutely horrible. You definately need to contact the corporate office. They will make it up to you. I've worked for Ruby's for 5 years and if that happened in my store, the server and manager would be fired, after you received a full refund. Contact them, if you haven't already.

I've never been to Ruby Tuesday, but after reading what you experienced, I won't! I'm curious if you contacted their corp office and made a complaint, or just filed your complaint locally and on this board.
