We purchased leather furniture ($2300 )from the Sam Levitz store on Orange grove road/river in Tucson arizona, mid 2016 from "Sherry" who insisted on a $269 leather protection warranty (3 years) it was financed and within 7 months we have paid them off ..Recently we noticed several wear spots on the seating areas of the power recliners. They are unsightly as they are down to the leather material areas. I regularly used the "leather protection kit"($149 part of the warranty package) these chemicals did not clear up the spots..We called customer service and they sent a tech on friday ,Oct 13th 2017 to our home; he took pictures and assured my wife they would make an appointment to pickup the sofa to retouch/repair the areas. By Oct 17th 2017, 5 days after the inspection, we did not get a pickup appt but a message saying our "claim had been disapproved because warranty was only 6 months on the sofa"(we have extended extra cost warranty of 3 years =$269. They also said they didn't qualify because we financed it; they were paid off in 7 months...i recontacted customer service on Oct 17 2017 (Maria) who said a supervisor would review why the claim was disapproved..I do not normally purchase warranties but we were assured this would cover almost any damage..well it does not and taking money and not performing necessary repairs is FRAUD.

I will provide a copy of this to the DMAFB base commander and public relations persons so no other veterans as myself, will waste money at 'Scam Levitz". Better yet i will let all family and friends know how we were taken advantage of using my military retirement funds and not having the warranty protection we paid for..If one less person/veteran or persons does not have this happen to them, great...Sam Levitz no other veterans or hard working persons will waste money at your stores. I will personally take other people to Phoenix and bring back their purchases in my own truck to ensure they will get a reputable company to purchase from...
