I was in the process of purchasing a HUD home that Sentinel Field Services winterized. After paying them $75.00 on line for a scheduled de-winterizing service, they never did the job. They came to the house, turned the water on at the meter, and after realizing the meter had froze during the winter, they left and never came back. They also refuse any responsibilty and wont pay for damages to the entire plumbing system in the house. This made us back out of the purchase of the home and it cost me $2000.00!! They are a complete rip-off!!!!! Stay away from them.
This happened in White Bear Lake, MN

Sentinel is not owning up to their mistake and taking the sleezy way out by blaming someone elses work.
Sentinel was the company that winterized the home. We have proof.
Shame on you.

Bob hired Sentinel Field Services to perform a de-winterization on a property that he was purchasing from HUD. We went to the home and started to perform the de-winterization. The first step in a de-winterization is to pressurize the plumbing system and perform a system integrity test. The pressure test found the plumbing system compromised (it would not hold pressure) so it did not pass the system integrity test. The water could not remain on because of this failure. All HUD properties are sold in a "as-is" condition and this is clearly stated on all documentation.
The property in question came to HUD in Nov 2012. The property was transitioned to Sentinel's portfolio for management in Jan 2013. When we received the property is was already winterized. Sentinel did not perform the winterization.
