Shoppers DISadvantage:

If someone offers to sign you up for Shoppers Advantage, RUN! The way they got us was at a Days Inn in Virginia. My husband was offered a better room rate if he signed up for this "service," so he did. He didn't tell me, and unfortunately I did not see this company was charging us $17.99 a month for quite a while.

Once I did spot the recurring charge on my bank statement, I called and canceled the service I had no idea I had and had never used. I did not ask for a refund because that was on us (although my husband says he called and canceled the service immediately).

Fast forward to today, when I saw this company is still charging me. I called again and re-canceled. Of course they had no record that I had already canceled. What a surprise ... And of course they would not refund me the two payments they took AFTER I canceled. What a sleazeball company.

I pointed out to Shoppers Advantage shill Jonathan, ID #46804, that I had paid a lot of money for a service I never used and that I wasn't asking for that money back. All I was seeking was a refund for the months I was charged AFTER I canceled. His response was that I should look at Shoppers Advantage's website -- in other words, he was still treating me like a customer, against my wishes.

When I told Jonathan, ID #46804, that I'm reporting this disreputable company to all appropriate authorities, he could not have cared less. That suggested to me he hears it all the time from people his company victimizes.

And by the way, Days Inn, why are YOU doing business with such a flimflam firm? Don't you care about YOUR reputation?   

This time I got a cancellation number from Jonathan, ID #46804. Let's see what happens next month ... I'll keep Ripoff Report updated.
