I have regrettably been with Smart Circle now for the last 14 months of my life. 

I was promoted to assistant manager, a feat only accomplished probably by 1% of people who enter the business, and took over the Connecticut market.  I was excited that I would finally be making the kind of money that I always dreamed of.  Not so much.  Apparently my promoting manager left the market because he wasn't making any money either.  So I was led to believe that I was to be making like $150,000 a year and would OWN my own company.  This again, not so much. While you are able to "own" your company, you have very little control over your finances, because Smart Circle higher-ups constantly have their hands in your business.

The manager, running an office for virtually all of the Home Depots within a 40-mile radius of Hartford, CT, works very hard, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, brainwashing, etc.  NOT WORTH IT.  Piece of advice:  if you learn that a company that is looking to hire you is a division of Smart Circle, RUN THE OTHER WAY.

Unfortunately, now 14 months later, my house is in foreclosure, I can hardly pay my bills, feed my children, etc. because the money that was promised was not even close.

The straw that broke the camel's back (I shut my business down today) was when I cut myself a larger-than-usual paycheck because of the holidays and I received a bonus so I could afford it without my business losing money.  I got the payroll checks in the mail on Wednesday (yesterday), so I went to deposit my check.  I wondered this morning why I got another batch of payroll checks in.  I called my "hub manager" to find out.  Turns out "my" payroll was voided and another check was reissued to me for a lesser amount WITHOUT THEM NOTIFYING ME.  Now my cars are possibly going to be repossessed because money was stolen from MY paycheck.

What always aggravated me about the business is that employees are paid very poorly, work LONG hours, and are brainwashed into believing that their attitude, work ethic and student mentality will buy them the cars they always wanted, their dream house, vacation house, etc.  when only .0001% of all people who enter the business even come close to that level.

My conscience couldn't take it any more.  I closed my business down today.  If you have an interview with JDL Retail Solutions, Inc., that was my company.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I can't deal with being the leader of a scam anymore.  Neither should the President of Smart Circle, Larry Tannenbaum, Scott Williams, Vice President, and Regional Consultant, Ryan Irish, who is the one who mandated the money be taken from my paycheck.  

Oh, if you have an interview with OG and Associates, with Oscar Granados, I shared an office with that intense egomaniac, who is also part of Smart Circle.
